How can I overcome worldly attractions and develop an attraction towards God?

As You said in an example, Śrī Ramakrishna Paramahamsa saw some swans and just by seeing the beauty of these birds created by God, He went into meditation. I have only learnt from my childhood about money, external things like a big car, a luxurious house and arranging grand marriages and parties. When I became a teenager, due to the brainwashing of other people, I can only see the beauty of the opposite gender. Wherever I go, I have only thoughts like money and the attraction to the opposite gender. In the case of Śrī Ramakrishna Paramhansa, He did not have any attraction towards money or the opposite gender in His mind. Could You please give more examples of how to see external things and direct them to God?]
