How is the soul's reformation possible when souls and their qualities persist across cycles of creation and destruction of the world?

[Smt. Anita Renkuntla asked: In the Kali Yuga, people have no time to read or hear the knowledge given by the Human Incarnation. They have no interest in spiritual knowledge. How can the inherent qualities of the soul be changed? I read in one of Your discourses that even after the destruction of creation, souls continue to exist in a hidden state. They are born again with the same inherent qualities in the new creation of God. Then how is the reformation of the soul possible? Do forgive me if I have misunderstood the concept. At Your Divine feet.]

Swāmi replied: Even in the Kali Yuga, there are several sincere souls who try for reformation and they achieve it. If the spiritual knowledge is preached by a divine preacher, who is an Incarnation of God, it will certainly penetrate the heart of any soul. Worldly preachers (Gurus) only preach concepts that please the audience because they want popularity or some benefit from the audience. So, the concepts they preach are distorted and they lack the power of the truth. When the divine preacher (Sadguru) preaches, His preaching is always the utmost truth that has infinite power. Hence, it penetrates into the heart. Truth is the power of knowledge and God alone preaches such excellent knowledge (Satyam jñānaṃ anantaṃ Brahma…—Veda).
