Why does God take birth through the womb of a woman instead of directly descending from heaven?

[Śrī Anil asked: Pādanamaskāraṃ Swāmi! A person I met online asked why God did not come straight down from heaven instead of entering into the womb of a woman, growing inside her for nine months and then being born in a messy manner. He asked the reason behind this strange way of God coming into this world. Another person asked if it is even possible for a human womb to bear the Almighty God in it for some days or months? Please give Your response to this. - At Your Divine Feet -anil.]

Swāmi replied: God follows the rules of nature while entering into the world of humanity. Otherwise, human beings would get highly excited, if God were to enter our world straight from heaven. Then they would pester God by constantly praying to solve their worldly problems. When God enters in a natural way, the doubt of whether He is God or not will always remain alive in the minds of the devotees. As a result, there will not be any rush for exploiting God’s divine powers for their materialistic desires. God maintains this doubt in the minds of even His close devotees while He is in human form, so that their excitement gets suppressed and they can behave with Him in a natural manner, with their minds in the ground state (unexcited state). It is only in such a natural and unexcited state that they can clarify all their doubts in spiritual knowledge, which is necessary to proceed on the practical path. In that state of doubt, the devotees think that even though He is not God, He has given them correct direction on the spiritual path and so, they concentrate on moving in that direction. This is the main aim of God when He comes down into this human world and He has sufficient practical talent of managing the practical problems that arise when He descends into this human world.
