113. God's will overrules the soul's control

तस्येच्छया पाक्षिकास्तमयः क्वचित्।११३।
tasyecchayā pākṣikāstamayaḥ kvacit|113|

By His will, even the external control disappears as seen in some divine incidents.

Explanation:

Even the external control of apara prakriti by para prakriti disappears sometimes, as seen in some divine incidents. Sometimes, when God withdraws His wish, even the partial control of the inert gross body by the soul disappears. The limbs like legs and hands of the gross body do not function if God wishes so or in the case of punishments of sins as given by the administration of God. Therefore, the movement of the limbs of the gross body according to the will of the soul is only a boon granted by God to the soul. That control is not the inherent right of the soul. In the case of paralysis, the limbs do not move inspite of the intense wish of the soul. Hence, there is no difference between the inert apara prakriti and the living para prakriti as far as the control of God is concerned.
