Part-1
O Learned and Devoted Servants of God
1. Why does God Krishna appear like having fascination for females and wealth?
[Ms. Thrylokya asked:- Swami, God is misunderstood due to the topic of sweet devotion or Madhura Bhakti. Greater devotees like Hanuman exist even without Madhura Bhakti and Hanuman is not lesser than Radha. Draupadi loved Krishna as sister and surpassed all the romantic bonds through her sacrifice in tearing her new sari for the bandage of the finger of Lord Krishna. You told that monkeys, who were prepared to sacrifice their bodies for torturing death in the war for the sake of God Rama are greater than Gopikas, who sacrificed their bodies to God Krishna getting enjoyment through sex. At the same time, You said that every devoted soul has to get female birth as the final birth for getting salvation because the fascination for spouse (Daareshanaa) is to be tested so that all the bonds are completely tested. This bond is one of the strongest worldly bonds (Eshanaatrayam) and salvation means liberation from fascinations of all worldly bonds in the light of fascination for bond with God. You always say that sacrifice of fruit of work (Karma Phala Tyaaga) to God is the highest and ultimate spiritual effort. If You say that the above matter is related to test to give salvation, what is the meaning of creating Goloka as reward in which the fruit is also continuation of sex with God by Gopikas? All this looks like God has bond with female and wealth (Kaaminii kaancanam). Recently, I heard all this criticism from the mouth of a learned person and got very much perturbed. Kindly enlighten these points with Your analysis.]
Swami replied:- All these comments look like the criticism of atheists, who are in minority only from the beginning of the creation. There are several holy scriptures and several holy sages trying to explain the holy nature of God and finally saying that they fail to give the complete picture of the divine personality of God. The same thing is also declared by all the holy scriptures. In this world, there are two sides of understanding anything, one is correct understanding and the other is misunderstanding. Do you say that there is only correct understanding in this world everywhere and that there is no possibility for misunderstanding anywhere? In this context, even if you take 50:50 probability, you must analyse every point deeply and arrive at the correct conclusion for every point. Simply speaking all these statements is like throwing some arrows with both hands. Mere running by mentioning the headlines of the topics is actually incomplete peripheral knowledge. You must take every topic in detail and discuss thoroughly upto the bottom-most depth and arrive at the conclusions. If you take only the mere conclusions, they are also like a bunch of arrows thrown with both hands. What is required here is neither the handful of arrows thrown by your hands nor the handful of arrows thrown by My hands. Which handful of arrows are correct and which are wrong shall be known only by the sharp and deep analysis of each arrow in detail. Without such deep analysis, I will abuse your arrows and you will abuse My arrows. Hence, sharp, deep and complete analysis of each arrow is needed for which, a lot of time, energy and patience are required. If anybody wants the analysis to be done in hurry, such work will go waste because a lot of time with immense patience is required to carefully follow the path of analysis so that the eaten food (spiritual knowledge) is digested slowly and without such proper digestion having the needed intervals, if the spiritual knowledge of every arrow is not understood, no conclusion is correct and will not satisfy anybody.
God created this universe for the highest level of entertainment that suits His highest stature unlike a soul, which also creates an imaginary daydream without sleep for the sake of a cheap entertainment just to kill the time as per the stature of the soul. God wants to enjoy the true love, which is always proven by any type of practical sacrifice desired by the other side without any selfish benefit in return. Such true love exists in several types of sacrifices and the least sacrifice is sweet devotion involving sex because in sex, a soul also gets enjoyment, which is almost a selfish benefit in return, even though not desired. In other types of sacrifice, such inevitable selfish benefit does not exist. For example, when the hunter was prepared to pluck out his second eye also to place it on the second bleeding eye of God Shiva, there is no trace of any inevitable return benefit because if one loses both the eyes, his entire life becomes a big zero. Draupadi treated Krishna as brother and tore her new sari for the bandage of the wounded finger of Krishna and all the romantic bonds (wives and Gopikas) ran in all directions just for a piece of cloth to be used as the bandage for Krishna. Here, the sweet devotion utterly failed before the bond between brother and sister! All types of devotions are always based on the will of the individual devotee only and not on the will of God because God is fully satisfied without any unfulfilled desire and God only sees the intensity of practical love present in the type of devotion chosen by the devotee. Hence, sweet devotion was also invented by the devoted souls only and not by God.
From the side of God, the only fixed philosophy is to make all the souls happy, who have turned towards Him leaving all their worldly bonds. This is thoroughly justified and most dignified philosophy of love of the highest personality of God. Tears are flowing from My eyes when people turn the whole picture to 180 degrees and conclude that God created this universe for His sexual desire in the name of sweet devotion and for money in the form of Guru Dakshinaa! I scold My bloody life that continued on this earth to hear such worst criticism against God!!
When Krishna told Gopikas to go back to their homes threatening them about the horrible hell for the sin of unjust romance, the Gopikas threatened back Krishna that they would jump into Yamuna river and commit suicide if Krishna didn’t dance with them. Yes! I am fully convinced that Krishna had a bad sexual desire for Gopikas!! Narakaasura abducted 16,000 princesses in Kshatriya clan and imprisoned them since they were not ready to marry anyone other than Krishna due to which no young man in his Kshatriya clan was getting married at that time. He was ready to release any princess provided she agrees to marry anyone in his Kshatriya clan. After Krishna killed Narakaasura and released the 16,000 daughters of kings from the prison, He advised them to go back to their homes. But, they threatened Krishna that unless Krishna married them, they would not go back to their homes and warned Krishna that they will commit suicide if Krishna didn’t marry them! Now, I am doubly convinced that Krishna had a very bad sexual desire for the 16,000 princesses so that He can get their portions of kingdoms in dowry and this proves that Krishna has not only bad sexual desire, but also greedy desire for wealth!!! This entire creation is God’s created wealth, which means self-earned wealth (not ancestral wealth) and such God is greedy for little dog-biscuits! Now, I am undoubtedly convinced that God is fond of money and wealth! This is just like the scene in the drama ‘Julius Caesar’ written by Shakesphere in which Antony repeatedly tells in his ironic speech “Yet, Brutus is an honourable man”.
Karma Phala Tyaaga (sacrifice of fruit of work) and Karma Samnyaasa (sacrifice of physical service) are the two ways to bring out the real colour of love, be it in Pravrutti (worldly life) or Nivrutti (spiritual life). Between these two, the former is far better than the latter provided the devotee is capable of doing Karma Phala Tyaaga also. The fruit of spending one’s physical energy (service or work) is money only. There are several employees ready to sacrifice work, but, the employers paying the fruit of service (money) are very less in number. An employer is respected by the employee for this reason only and the vice versa is not seen anywhere. Money or matter (m) is far far greater than the physical energy (E) as per E=mc2 since a lot of energy is equal to very little matter. The sacrifice expressed by words (knowledge of intelligence) and prayers sung (devotion of mind) are purely theoretical and are not a real proof of true love. Sacrifice of work and fruit of work are the real proof of true love and this is a very clear concept even in worldly life (Pravrutti) and not to speak of its importance in spiritual life (Nivrutti). Practical service and practical sacrifice constitute Karma Yoga, which alone is the real proof of true love. To make the soul understand about his/her devotion to God in real sense, practical Karma Yoga is used by God, which is the final step before which Jnaana Yoga and Bhakti Yoga are the two preliminary theoretical steps.
Regarding sweet devotion, it is invented by certain devotees since the freedom to select the path of devotion with free will is granted by God. This is the fundamental mistake that God has done! Based on this, devotees invented sweet devotion and since God promised that one can reach Him by any path, devotees start blaming God since He stuck to His promise! This is the second mistake of God since He did not break His promise! Now, the devotees started blaming God for having the bad character of unfulfilled sexual hunger. If God wants, He can create girls with unimaginable beauty (million times more beautiful than these devotees of sweet devotion) and enjoy them in an unreachable secret world without the notice of anybody escaping this bloody criticism! Now, I am damn sure that God has unfulfilled sexual hunger! The devotees may spoil their character since souls are of small stature. But, how such greatest personality like God can spoil His character? A small fellow can do mistake, but, how a greatest person like the omnipotent and omniscient God can do the same mistake? This is the argument of these bloody souls. For the information of these foolish souls, I declare that God has not spoiled even a trace of His good character and being omnipotent, He simultaneously satisfied the devotees guiding them to progress in their own type of spiritual path chosen by them only. God created His illusory forms to satisfy various devotees of sweet devotion as chosen by them and simultaneously kept His real form untouched even by a trace of sin. God is omnipotent and any possible or impossible thing is possible for His power called Maayaa. Maayaa is defined as the power that makes all impossible things possible (Aghaṭana ghaṭanā paṭīyasī māyā).
You may argue that God is deprived of romance, which is also a significant part of entertainment. This lack of romance brings incompleteness for His magnificent masculine personality since the Veda says that He is the real man (Puruṣa eva…). Therefore, God is entertained by the romance also, but with a real personified form of His inherent power (which is Himself only) and not with any created soul. In such case of romance with His own personified power, there is no internal dualism since the power and possessor of power are one and the same. In the absence of internal dualism, it cannot be treated as family life even with one female form and hence, God is really an absolute celibate in the state of perfect monism as declared by the Veda (Ekamevādvitīyaṃ Brahma, Neha nānāsti kiñcana). The Gita clearly elaborates this by saying that the sexual life of God is with Himself only and He gets full satisfaction with Himself alone (Yastvātma ratireva syāt, Ātma tṛptaśca…). The word ‘Eva’ in this verse means that God is strictly confined to Himself only in the case of sexual life (Rati) and satisfaction by sex (trupti). This should not be misunderstood as the forbidden path of homosexuality because God’s power is personified as the second personality in complete female form while God is always the masculine hero (Sa dvitīyamaicchat…).
In the world, the sin is possible in three ways:- i) by action, ii) by words and iii) by intentions or feelings. These three are called ‘Trikaranams’. While Sita was going to enter the earth, she told that if she had never deviated from Rama in actions, words and feelings, the earth should dissolve her into the earth (Vāk manaḥ karmabhiḥ patyau, vyabhicāro yathā na me…). Now, coming to the concept of sweet devotion, the real form of God is not involved in the action of romance with the devotees, who themselves chose this path, since the illusory forms of God are only involved. There is no other way for God to encourage those devotees to reach the goal without Himself being affected by the sin. If there is any other way, kindly tell Me, I challenge. This path of sweet devotion was discovered by certain devotees based on their individual nature and liking. The further developments in sweet devotion were also from the side of those devotees only and not from the side of God. The Gopikas in Brundaavanam were only crying for Krishna and Krishna never cried for any Gopika. Even if Krishna cried, it was only a soothing response to honour the love of Gopika towards Him. God is told to have the real entertainment of sex with His own real form only, which is the embodiment of His own power (Śakti Śaktimatorabhedaḥ, Yastvātma rati reva syāt). Rukmini is Lakshmi, who is the power of Krishna or Vishnu. Radha is the incarnation of God Shiva and Shiva is Vishnu, thereby meaning that Radha and Krishna are one and the same. Some say that even Radha is also the power of real Krishna, which is the power of pleasure called ‘Hlaadinii Shakti’. In the entertainment of these two (Radha and Rukmini) with real Krishna, there is no dualism at all and hence, God is always the real absolute celibate without any dualism (Askhalita Brahmacaarii), which in spiritual sense means that God is always one absolute reality unaffected by His illusory creation.
Even if someone mistakes a rope as serpent, the real rope will not get affected by the unreal serpent. Similarly, even if we assume that the absolute real Krishna is only involved in sex with Gopikas, the absolute real Krishna will not get affected by the relatively real world of which Gopikas are a part. But, in this assumed case, since the body and mind of the real Krishna are also relatively real, equal to the relatively real Gopikas, the sin of illegal sex will affect the merged unimaginable God through the medium of the real Krishna (the word ‘affected’ means that even though unimaginable God is not really affected, people will blame the unimaginable God through the real Krishna, if the real Krishna is involved in romance with Gopikas). In such case, God Krishna cannot be called as the real celibate by the public. Since God Brahma declared that God Krishna is the real celibate and since the word of God Brahma must always be correct, this again proves that even the inherently unreal medium (body and mind) of the absolute real Krishna (possessing God-component) is not involved in sex with Gopikas. The God-component is inherently real and the medium or human being-component of real Krishna is inherently unreal (even though the medium also became absolutely real due to merge of God-component with the body and mind of real Krishna). This makes the sin not to touch the inherently real God-component, but, to touch the inherently unreal human being-component of the human incarnation called God Krishna (if He involves in romance with Gopikas). From this point of view, God Krishna created illusory forms of Himself to deal with Gopikas. This same explanation continues to Gopikas and real Krishna in Goloka also.
Since the romantic action with Gopikas is absent in the case of the real form of God Krishna, there is no trace of practical sin. The illusory Krishnas responded to the sweet devotion of Gopikas through romantic words, romantic feelings and romantic actions from the side of illusory Krishnas. The theoretical sin by feelings and words is very little trace only for which there is no practical punishment in hell except a warning. But, in the case of God, even this trace of sin by words and feelings is absent and hence, He stands as real celibate even without a trace of sexual sin by theoretical words and feelings also. Regarding the word and feeling, there are two ways:-
i) The illusory Krishnas have individual souls and all the four internal instruments called antahkaranams (mind, intelligence, memory and basic ego). The illusory Krishnas can react by words and feelings with the help of their own individual antahkaranam, which is the mind that is responsible for feeling and word. Anyway, they are already reacting to the desire of the devotees by their bodies also in the form of sexual union and in light of this, their theoretical romance by words and feelings is not much significant. Now, by this, the illusory Krishnas are responsible in all the three steps (action, word and feeling). Here, the illusory Krishna is not getting any sin because one illusory Krishna is confined with one Gopika only maintaining the principle of single wife (Eka patnī vratam). Thus, justice is established by Krishna in His program.
ii) If you assume that though the action is not from the real Krishna, the words and feelings are from the real Krishna only, which enter illusory Krishnas from the real Krishna (since the real Krishna is the controller of the illusory Krishnas), even then, there is no trace of sin in the case of the real Krishna because such words and feelings are not true in real sense just like the words and feelings enacted by the actors in a film show. The reason for such acting is to encourage the devotees to progress in their chosen spiritual path to reach God and this is called Arthavaada (a beneficial meritorious lie). In this way, God cannot be blamed in any angle even by Tom, Dick and Harry. But, the above said first way happened in reality and hence, the real Krishna is not involved even in expressing feelings and words through acting also since this second possibility is also only an assumption and not the practical reality. Even if the second way happens to be the practical reality, there is no sin because the real intention is not there and the concept of ‘acting’ dissolves the entire sin. When there is no real intention, even the practical action is not sinful. Sage Vyaasa producing children through the widow-wives of his brothers, on the instruction of his mother, was not a sin because there was no real intention. But, we may think that there may be a trace of shadow-sin. The sin done in theoretical phase through feelings and words has no practical punishment in hell except a theoretical serious warning. This means that the theoretical sin is little trace of sin. In the case of God Krishna, even this trace of sin is absent because He never had any romantic feelings or uttered any romantic words because only the illusory Krishnas were responding to Gopikas by actions, words and feelings.
Even if you assume that the theoretical sin called as ‘trace of sin’ is done by illusory Krishnas, even in their case, there is no trace of sin because each Gopika is bound with each illusory Krishna only maintaining the one husband-one wife relationship (Eka patnii vratam). An illusory Krishna also may speak Arthavaadas to a Gopika, which is not wrong at all since it is useful for the spiritual progress of the Gopika. If this trace of sin is done by anybody as acting without any reality in it, even then, such trace of sin is called ‘shadow of sin’. Since the trace of sin itself is absent, there is no chance for even the shadow of sin to exist in the case of real Krishna because illusory Krishnas uttered the romantic words expressing romantic feelings. Hence, God Krishna is the purest form without even a trace of sin or even a trace of shadow of sin. The romantic actions, words and feelings of the real Krishna towards His personified power (Radha/Rukmini) have no connection with the same done by illusory Krishnas with Gopikas either in verbatim or sequence (This means whatever word or feeling or action done by the real Krishna need not be imitated by any illusory Krishna.).
The personality of God is always complete, but, some people feel that lack of romance brings incompleteness in His personality. God is omnipotent to be a celibate and to do the climax of romance simultaneously. Even in sweet devotion, God is the most romantic hero being the only masculine hero. But, only the personified power of God becomes the real entertainer of God in this sweet devotion making the personality of God complete as per the view of those people. Goddess Sarasvati is the creating power of God Brahma and hence, she is eligible to become His entertainer in sweet devotion. She is not a created individual soul by God Brahma since she is the real and inherent power of God Brahma. All the living beings in the creation are created by Brahma with the help of His power, Sarasvati and hence, all living beings become the issues of God Brahma and Goddess Sarasvati. People, who are criticizing God Brahma and Goddess Sarasvati as Father and daughter are totally ignorant because Sarasvati, the inherent power of Brahma, is not created by Brahma. Sarasvati is the personified inherent creating power of God Brahma (just like Lakshmi is the maintenance power of Vishnu and Parvati is the destruction power of God Shiva). In fact, the critics should answer the question that how the created males and females are getting married in the world when all the human beings are brothers and sisters being the issues of God Brahma! Swami Vivekananda addressed the audience as his brothers and sisters. If you have a brother and a sister, are they both not brother and sister to each other? There is no difference between God Brahma and God Vishnu. Hence, there is no difference between God Brahma and God Krishna because God Krishna is totally God Vishnu. Therefore, even God Krishna told in the Gita that He is the Father of all the souls (Ahaṃ bīja pradaḥ pitā…). In such case, how can the real Krishna enjoy with Gopikas practically or even theoretically? Therefore, even this blame is removed by saying that the illusory unreal Krishnas only enjoyed with illusory unreal Gopikas by actions, words and feelings, excluding real Krishna from even the trace of sin and shadow of sin.
God is the absolute reality and the creation including souls is inherently unreal becoming real due to the gifted reality from God. Hence, the entire world including all the souls is relative reality only. Therefore, the sin that is foolishly attributed to God Brahma and Goddess Sarasvati is also applicable to real Krishna and real Radha (or real Rukmini) and such foolishly attributed sin is common to both the couples (Brahma-Sarasvati and Krishna-Radha/Rukmini). Since created souls are the issues of God Brahma and Goddess Sarasvati, Gopikas are actually the assumed indirect issues of Krishna and Radha (or Rukmini) since all the souls including Gopikas are created by God Krishna (or God Brahma) as per the above verse of the Gita. Apart from this angle, God Krishna becomes the assumed Father of all souls in another angle also, which is that the real Krishna (Parabrahman) becomes assumed Father since His wife (Kaarya Maayaa Shakti) became the souls (and the inert world) by modification (Parinaama) making her similar to biological mother of all souls.
The intention decides whether the inert action is a sin or not. Even the artificial intention, which is not real intention but acted-intention as seen among actors and actresses in film shows is also absence of intention in reality. Even such acting-intention is not present in real Krishna, because the unreal Krishnas having their own gross bodies and individual souls with antahkaranams become totally responsible for romantic actions, romantic words and romantic feelings. By this, the above mentioned 2nd possibility (that romantic words and feelings are told by the real Krishna to Gopikas as Arthavaadas) is also ruled out since God will never commit a sin even through acting in words and feelings. This concludes that God is not touched by any sin in reality or even through acting also. All this makes it very clear about the stand of God taken by Himself that He decides Himself as an assumed Father even though He is not the biological Father of the souls. If the brother of a person has a daughter, the person becomes assumed father to the daughter of his brother even though the person is not the biological father. Hanuman studied all the scriptures from god Sun. The daughter of god Sun was rigid to marry Hanuman. Hanuman refused her saying that she becomes His sister since the teacher is an assumed father as per ethics. When she was very rigid, Hanuman dissolved her in Himself satisfying both god Sun and his daughter. Hanuman is God Shiva, God Shiva is God Vishnu and God Vishnu is God Krishna. Hence, Hanuman is God Krishna and the same policy of giving importance even to shadow of sin is common in both. At least now, the critics should shut up their mouths if they have minimum ethical dignity. If you criticize such God Krishna or such God Brahma or such God Vishnu or such God Shiva or such God Datta, you will never come out of the ever-burning horrible hell headed by God Kaalabhairava! You will be blessed by Lord Kaalabhairava with everlasting longevity of life with simultaneous continuous burning in the everlasting fire!
Even illusory Krishnas are the biological issues (like other human beings) of the Maayaa Power (Radha/Rukmini) created as per the wish of Parabrahman (real Krishna). Since Maayaa Power is modified into souls, they are assumed to be the biological issues of Maayaa Power. God becomes the assumed Father of human beings since Maayaa power, the biological mother of souls is the wife of God. Gopikas and all other souls in the creation are the biological issues of Maayaa only. The word ‘Biological’ here means real modification and therefore, you shall not object marriages between souls by saying that they are brothers and sisters. A biological issue is born to its mother due to the interacting sperm of the father with the ovum of the mother. Here, such process is absent because the soul is just a product of modification of Maayaa Power just like mud pot is the modification of mud. In such case, God is also a falsely assumed father since He is not the biological father of souls. In this way, God has a fair reason to become a romantic partner for souls. But, God selected only the probability of assumed father in order to avoid even any type of sin. Among the souls, the assumed relationship as brothers and sisters is ruled out by the above logic and marriages are allowed among souls for the sake of extension of human generations. In the case of souls, inevitable absence of alternative way existed. In the case of God, such inevitable absence of alternative way does not exist because there is an alternative way to solve the problem through creation of illusory forms of Himself.
Only the Maayaa Power of God is modified into this inert and non-inert world and God is not modified. If God is assumed as modified, God gets affected by the change of modification, which is not possible since God is constantly unchangeable. Hence, Shankara ruled out the concept of modification (parinaama) of God and told that the relationship between God and world is apparent relationship (vivarta) because God is real and world is inherently unreal like the real water and inherently unreal wave. Hence, Shankara is correct. But, Ramanuja says that God is really modified into the world. This contradiction between Shankara’s Vivarta Vaada and Ramanuja’s Parinaama Vaada can be correlated in the following way:- Even though world is inherently unreal and God is absolutely real, the world also became absolutely real due to the gifted absolute reality from God. Now, the real God and real world are resulting like real milk and real curd. Since both God and world are real like real milk and real curd, modification (parinaama) of real milk into real curd has to be applied to the relationship between God and world even though God is not at all modified. Therefore, when God created the world, you have to take the Vivarta Vaada (God is real like water and world is unreal like wave) of Shankara and after God granted His reality to the world, you have to accept the Parinaama Vaada of Ramanuja. Hence, the first relationship of Vivarta is at the time of creation and the second relationship of Parinaama is at the time of maintenance (God created the inherently unreal world and gifted His reality to the world so that He can have full entertainment with the real world). In this way, both Shankara and Ramanuja can be correlated. Here, the modification (real change) of God is avoided since God is said to be changeless (Avikāryo'ya mucyate… - Gita). God is omnipotent and can do any impossible correlation as given above. For example, the unimaginable God entered into God Datta completely and as per the worldly logic, the unimaginable God should be absent in His original place. But, due to His omnipotency, the original unimaginable God exists in the same place qualitatively and quantitatively (pūrṇasya pūrṇamādāya, pūrṇamevāvaśiṣyate - Veda).
Whatever explanation supported by sharp logical analysis is given by Me to the life of Krishna and Gopikas in Brundaavanam applies exactly to the life of Krishna and the twelve Gopikas in Goloka also, which is the permanent reward to the twelve successful Gopikas. In Goloka also, the real form of God Krishna has all the omnipotent powers and created one illusory Krishna as permanent reward to each successful Gopika. A very important point is that no Gopika can understand this unimaginable mechanism of creation of illusory Krishnas either in this world or in Goloka (or even in any loka). The real Krishna exists as one in the presence of all Gopikas along with Radha. In the context of private romance with each Gopika, an illusory Krishna appears in the place of the real Krishna and the real Krishna disappears instantly, which cannot be noticed. In the time of Raasa dance, there was no internal romance because only external romance like hugging, kissing etc., only were there. Hence, all illusory Krishnas appeared for all Gopikas. All Gopikas thought that the central real Krishna standing by the side of Radha only multiplied Himself and hence, every illusory Krishna is real Krishna only for them. In fact, their assumption is also perfectly correct and no Gopika was deceived. Everything between real Krishna and illusory Krishna is exactly one and the same and the only difference is the presence of the unimaginable God in the real Krishna. This unimaginable God is experienced by the real Krishna, but not by Radha, who was completely covered by total ignorance to do justice to her role as a devotee. Hence, Radha and Gopika are not at all different even by an atom as far as the romantic experience is concerned.
Remember that even Goloka is a part and parcel of this illusory world only. God is the absolute reality in any part of His creation. God maintains His holy status everywhere at all the times, not for the sake of any bloody certificate from any bloody soul. Every soul is in need of a certificate from God and not vice versa. Therefore, the behaviour of God is always perfect aspiring a certificate of good character and conduct from His own consciousness and such consciousness is He Himself (because such consciousness is unimaginable, which is actually absent since awareness is absent and all its functions are performed by the omnipotency in the case of God). This explanation of the practical life of God Krishna in Brundaavanam given here is the cinema shooting in a studio and the same explanation given in Goloka is the film show exhibited in the cinema hall. The only difference is that here on earth, the souls with materialized bodies exist and in Goloka (the topmost energetic world), the same souls with energetic bodies exist. The result after death is only the continuation of one’s state in this world. If you are liberated here as human being (Jiivan Mukti), your liberation continues in the upper world also after you become energetic being (Videha Mukti). The final stage of the soul in its spiritual effort continues even in the upper world as the fruit of its spiritual effort. Nothing extra results in the upper world after the death of any human being. If you, having human body, are not liberated while you are in this world (by not recognizing human incarnation); you, having energetic body, cannot be liberated in the upper world also (by not recognizing energetic incarnation) due to the repulsion between common media here as well as there. If you leave your contemporary human incarnation in this world with doubts, certainly you are going to leave the energetic incarnation also in the upper world due to the same doubts.
You need not argue that the real Krishna built 16,108 palaces, one for each wife and thus, got blamed in public for possessing fascination for many females, but, God Rama had no such criticism. In fact, this doubt came to Sage Narada also and he immediately visited Dvaraka city to see how one God Krishna is managing 16,108 wives simultaneously every night. He first visited the palace of Rukmini in which he found the real Krishna with Rukmini. Then, he visited all the other palaces immediately with very fast movement and found an illusory Krishna in every palace in the same night. Sage Narada has the power to distinguish real Krishna and illusory Krishna. He is also very famous in wandering all the three worlds without any break (Triloka sañcārī). Sage Narada explained this mysterious power of God Krishna in all the three worlds and even the people, who misunderstood Krishna were fully convinced developing full faith in God Krishna.
The soul with its little knowledge and little power tries to measure the omniscient and omnipotent divine personality of God. This is the main defect causing the failure of soul to really understand God without any doubt. Shri Paramahamsa told this point (in a Satsanga) that a salt-doll (a doll made of salt) entered the sea to measure the depth of the sea. Then, what happened? The salt-doll itself got dissolved in the ocean and disappeared! Before understanding God, we must know that He is omniscient and omnipotent based on which only any explanation or any understanding about God is possible.
God Krishna also took immense care that ordinary human beings don’t imitate His divine actions and spoil the discipline of the world. Although the romantic actions of unreal Krishnas were not at all a sin (because it is a test for the spouse-bond in which the devotee shall vote for God and not for the spouse. The Gita also says that this is not sin. Ref.:- Ahaṃ tvā sarva pāpebhyo…), the real Krishna considered it as sin and suffered by undergoing punishment in hell so that ordinary people will be afraid to commit sin. Ordinary people do not have the mysterious powers of God Krishna and hence, cannot create their illusory forms in such sexual affair. They simply think that every illusory Krishna is also the same real Krishna and commit sin imitating God Krishna due to their ignorance about this technology of creation of illusory Krishnas. Although the real form of Krishna is untouched by the actions of unreal illusory Krishnas, the real form of Krishna suffered the punishments only for one reason, which is that the public should not imitate Him. Actually, neither the real Krishna nor illusory Krishnas nor Gopikas did any sin in this affair. God Krishna not only underwent the punishment once but twice for the sake of each Gopika, once for Himself and second time on the behalf of each Gopika, who crossed the bond with spouse voting for God Krishna. Again and again, I am stressing that neither Krishna nor Gopika did any sin. God honours true love of the devotee and at the same time, protects justice by not letting any ordinary soul imitate His divine actions. On top of it, He remains untouched and pure as the real celibate. If one cannot understand the purity of God Krishna, he/she is not fit for the spiritual path.
When husband and wife are involved in sexual life, that is called as ‘Gṛhasthāśrama’. When the same couple enter into ‘Vānaprasthāśrama’, this sexual life is absent and both behave like brother and sister. Now, tell Me, whether the same pair is having husband-wife relationship or brother-sister relationship? In this same birth, they were husband and wife, and now, they are brother and sister. The same wife is said to be mother for the husband while giving the food and the same lady becomes wife in the night on the bed (Bhojyeṣu mātā, śayane ca Rambhā). She is simultaneously mother and wife. Sage Ashtaavakra says that the mother in this birth will become wife in the next birth. All these contradictions will be solved if you recognize that all these worldly bonds are unreal since they are temporary for this birth. Shankara says “which is temporary must be unreal”. Therefore, the true love proved by practical service and practical sacrifice is common in all the worldly bonds. In the husband-wife bond, the only extra factor is sexual life. If this sexual life becomes absent in husband-wife bond, this bond becomes just equal to any other worldly bond. In such case, if in the joint bond test (wealth and issues), the soul succeeds, it means 99% bonds are rejected for the sake of God. Moreover, the true love is decided based on service and sacrifice only and not based on sexual life. Gopikas got Goloka not because they passed in Dāreṣaṇa (fascination to spouse) test. That test is only a formality in which every candidate will pass. It is only a formal test to prove that all the worldly bonds are tested in competition with fascination to God. Even 1% failure cannot be treated as 100% pass in strict sense and hence, for an ordinary soul, the last spouse-bond is also generally tested by God before giving salvation. Remember that any bond is based on the feelings, words and actions.
