Divine Power Beyond Science
Let me inform you the incident that happened in Guntur be blessed.
Those who do not have complete faith in the miracles of God depend on the authority of direct perception. These are the ones who believe in science. What is being discussed here is the experience of an engineering student who believes only in science. One day, Swami said to that student, “Did you watch TV yesterday? How beautiful is the scene of Hanuman crossing the ocean in the Ramayana!" The student said, "I have not seen it. I was watching the cricket match. But do You believe in jumping over the ocean in these days of scientifc advancement?" Some days later, Swami went to that student's house in Guntur at her invitation. She does not believe in miracles! She wanted to test Swami. The student showed Swami an old man who had been living in their rented house and had been suffering from a stomacache for past 6 years and said, "Please cure his disease. No matter how many treatments he has tried for 6 years, it has been in vain. I will then believe in spirituality." Swami smiled. Meanwhile, the old man offered two bananas to Swami and bowed down to Him. Swami immediately ate both of them and said, "See, I am taking the bad fruits of your deeds, manifested as disease, through these fruits." That's it! The patient, who had been suffering from a stomacache for 6 years and would get sick whenever he ate food, ate a complete meal from that day onwards and felt satisfied by belching a sound. Swami is truly the incarnation of Lord Datta. Is it not the nature of Shri Datta to take the illness of devotees, experience it for Himself and make those devotees free from the disease?
That whole night, Swami suffered from such a severe stomachache that, unable to bear the pain, he jumped up and down on the cot — and the wires of the cot were torn apart!
Upon seeing this kind of miracle of God, the student became a mad devotee of Swami.
Oh! The grace of God is inexplicable!
