I pray Śrī Datta Mahārāja, the king of kings of kings of preachers,
Vedānta viṣaya jagatī samrājam ।
Pāpibhyo'pi Dayā sudhārṇava bhājam ।।1।।
He is the monarch of the world of scriptures,Ocean of kindness-nectar even to the sinners,
Mandāra makaranda madhura mandahāsam ।
Kundā'ravinda kumuda bṛndāṃśubhāsam ।।2।।
His smile is sweet like nectar of mandāra flowers, He is a bunch of red, blue and white flowers,
Tila kusuma samāyata manohara nāsam ।
Skanda Bhārgava Piṅgalanāgādi dāsam ।।3।।
His straight nose steals hearts like gingelly flower, Served by Skanda, Bhārgava, Piṇgalanāga etc.
