Swami replied: O Learned and Devoted Servants of God! Everything depends on the strength of your mind. If you are affected by what people are saying, pray to God Datta and nothing will happen. If you are a strong devotee of God Datta, you need not worry about those people who are cawing like crows. The cawing of crows may not have any effect, but the cawing of these human-crows will certainly induce fear in you! Let us suppose that there is some scriptural authority for the belief that the cawing of a crow has some bad effect. Here, we are completely believing the scripture, neglecting the possibility of some inserted statements in it. Even then, the same scripture also says that God can cancel any negative effect. Hence, you can pray God to come out of the fear induced into you by those people. You cannot believe only one point in the scripture and disbelieve other points in the same scripture. The best reply for your question is that there are no negative effects in the case of the devotees of God Datta. Even if some negative force tries to harm the devotees of God Datta, those negative forces will be destroyed by God Datta. In any case, as a devotee of God Datta, you are safe.
