Many devotees sent questions and requests to my email in order to get replies from Swami during the Datta Jayanti online Satsang on 7th December 2022. One email was from Smt. Chhanda Chandra asking permission to sing a Bengali song before Swami during the Satsang. The song she selected was written by Swami Vivekananda for his Sadguru Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. Just before the Satsang, I briefly told to Swami that Smt. Chhanda wants to sing a song before Him and did not give any context to Swami. I asked Swami if we can give a time slot to her during the Bhakti Ganga session of the Satsang? Swami nodded yes and we scheduled it accordingly. I planned to read the entire email before Swami and everyone during the session. But since the knowledge discussion i.e., Jnaana Saraswati session took a very long time, I couldn't read her email request. Swami told me to start Bhakti Ganga immediately and hence, I insisted Smt. Chhanda to unmute herself and sing for Swami. She started singing the divine song with extreme devotion. Unfortunately, everyone sitting around Swami was Telugu speaking devotees and they were wondering which language the song was in. I felt very bad for not being able to give a proper introduction about the song and its context to anyone. But I felt little relieved when I saw the vibrant face of Swami enjoying the song with closed eyes.
After the song, Swami smiled and affirmatively asked Smt. Chhanda whether Swami Vivekananda sang this song before Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa while He was alive. She replied yes. I was surprised to hear that from Swami because nobody other than Smt. Chhanda and myself know about the context of that song. Swami laughingly commented that His memory was going back to the past and felt like He heard this song already. Who other than the Lord knows this fact? Our beloved Swami is none other than Lord Datta Himself, who came down to earth as various incarnations including Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. Unlike us, who always want to show off our knowledge although it is very limited, Swami shows His Omniscience very rarely. This incident is one such unique occasion to witness the fact that all incarnations are the media of the same God Datta. I thank Swami for teaching us practically that same God exists in all incarnations although external facial appearance is different.
