Why do we get discouraged and lose our focus on God, when worldly problems do not get solved after repeated efforts?

[A devotee’s question brought to Swami by Śrī Anil. The devotee asked: In a certain worldly issue, despite repeated efforts, the problem does not get solved. In such a situation, one may get discouraged and lose one’s focus on God due to the weakness which comes as a result of being mentally and physically involved in solving the issue for a long time. What is the message to be learnt from such situations?]

Swami replied: Please read the answer given by Me to Mohini (Clicke here to read). The attachment to God should come first and the detachment from the world should come next as a spontaneous consequence. If you are worried about the worldly issue, you have not yet been relieved from the trap of worldly bonds, which means that your bond with God is not strong at all.
