About Shri Datta Swami in Detail

Swami, born in a village in Guntur District (Andhra Pradesh), is a professor of Chemistry in Vijayawada. Two months back He resigned from the job and took Samnyaasa for the sake of humanity. Swami is an expert in coaching for IIT Entrance Examinations and lakhs of rupees will rain on Him if He continues in that line also. For the past twelve years, Swami is doing the spiritual work based on His personal funds only. He was spending part of His time for spiritual work due His job. But now He wants to spend all His time for the spiritual work only. Throughout His life He donated about Rs. 30 Lakhs for services like eradication of leprosy etc. Swami did not save a single rupee for His personal purpose. Swami is doing mainly

1. Publication of spiritual books written by Him. (22 books published in Telugu)
2. Distribution of cassettes containing beautiful devotional songs composed by him and sung by him and other devotees. (in Telugu and Sanskrit).
3. Helping poor devotees and beggars in all aspects and converting the beggars as devotees. (Swami chooses only four categories of beggars i) Children, ii) Very old people, iii) Disabled and iv) Suffering with diseases i.e., those who are unable to earn).

Books and cassettes are distributed freely. Till two months back Swami was carrying on all these programs based on his own funds only. If somebody offered even a rupee he refused. Only on this Guru Purnima day, Swami told “All should do ‘Karma Phala Tyaaga’ (sacrifice of fruit of the work i.e., money) practically as told in the Gita to get salvation which cannot be obtained by mere prayers, meditation etc.”

Swami refused a few foreign and Indian billionaires who offered their money singly to support this program. Swami stated that all the human beings should participate and should get the salvation so that the Hell should be permanently closed. Every rupee sent by devotees is used to print this divine knowledge of Swami given in His discourses, which is wonderful, and it is now propagated to poor people also freely. This knowledge is new and is not given by anybody so far and is not written in any book. Scholars are telling like this. That is why we are interested to propagate this. Recently when Swami gave lectures in Bombay, one day He gave a lecture from 10 a.m., to 12 midnight (14 hours) continuously without raising from His seat! Swami wants all this knowledge to be propagated in all the languages to bring peace in the world and salvation to everybody. Swami says that this is the right knowledge, which is revealed now clearly present in the scriptures. Swami is beyond all the religions and His path is spiritualism. Swami treats all the religions equal.

Swami performed several miracles from childhood for which, He does not give any importance. Swami says that miracles belong to people of basic level only and that His Knowledge is the greatest miracle. Swami got Ph.D. in Chemistry in His 19^th year! Swami published several original research papers in Chemistry in various international journals. Swami told poetry in Sanskrit and Telugu at His 11^th year and was author of 100 books in Sanskrit at His 16^th year! Swami spoke all the Vedas and the Shastras without studying under any Guru at the age of 7^th year. Devotees and scholars consider Him as the direct incarnation of Lord Dattatreya.

Swami says, “The spiritual field is so much spoiled by the fraud and ignorant gurus that even the God comes down, He will be misunderstood. I blame those gurus only and not the innocent public”.

Swami tells, “By 2030 the main center of divine knowledge will be set up in the world. Propagate this knowledge to all your circles consisting of Indians or foreigners. Such work of propagation is called Karma Samnyaasa (sacrificing your work for God). Karma Phala Tyaaga is sacrificing some fruit i.e., money of your work for the sake of God’s work. Both these put together are called Karma Yoga (Service) as explained in the Gita. Only by this practical Karma Yoga, one can achieve the grace of God and not by mere words (prayers) and meditation (mind). Without the practical service, only prayers, meditation etc., by words and mind are only the pickles in the plate without the central bread”. The submission of Guru Dakshina to Swami is like submitting Guru Dakshina to Shirdi Sai Baba directly who spent it directly. Several times Swami appeared as Shirdi Sai Baba to several devotees apart from the other divine visions of other forms of God He gave to devotees.

Every rupee submitted by devotee as Guru Dakshina to Swami is spent for the propagation of knowledge and devotion only under the complete strict control of Swami. Swami practiced sacrifice for a long time and is preaching us to do at least a little sacrifice for God’s work.
