Is it correct to expect invitation from siblings for any gatherings?

[Dr. Revathi asked:- Among the families of siblings, is it correct to expect invitation for gatherings once in a while, asking whereabouts frequently and providing emotional support in need? We are not expecting monetary support. If we are not getting even emotional support from our own siblings, who grew up with us for 20+ years, how to deal with this pain? My husband and children are also suffering because of this. Please enlighten us, Swamiji.]

Swami replied:- All the worldly bonds are essentially selfish and this is told in the Veda that husband loves his wife for his pleasure and not for her pleasure, the wife also loves the husband for her pleasure and not for his pleasure. But, God loves devotees not for His pleasure because God is an infinite ocean of bliss. The only selfless bond is with God only. For this reason only, the devotee relieves himself/herself from worldly bonds to have an eternal bond with God.
