With the salutations at the lotus feet of Swami, I would like to share my experiences with my contemporary human incarnation of Lord Datta i.e., His Holiness Shri Datta Swami. Recently, I along with my family visited Shiva Temple in Amarnath, Kashmir along with Shri Phani, Shri Ajay garu & family and Shri Lakshman garu & family. We experienced many miraculous incidents. Right now, I am sharing some of the experiences here.
i) Vibhuti scents:
During this pilgrimage, I experienced the divine scents of Vibhuti at many places. I felt that because the pilgrimage is to Amarnath, Swami gave me Vibhuti scents. This is by the grace of Swami alone. This also proves the presence of Swami in the form of Shiva Datta with us throughout our pilgrimage. In fact, Swami told to Shri Phani that God Shiva will be with you. The same word is proved by this experience.
ii) Surviving at such high altitude:
The Amarnath shrine is at a very high altitude of around 13000 ft. At such an altitude, oxygen levels will be far far less than normal and I have a respiratory problem also. People face high altitude sickness and giddiness. In spite of such low level of oxygen present there and with my respiratory problem, by the grace of Swami alone I could sustain there and had the darshan of Amarnath. In fact, after reaching the shrine, I really felt a very very pleasant and blissful.
iii) Night Stay in a protective CRPF Battalion’s camp:
We started from Katra in Jammu and reached Pahalgam, a city near to the Amarnath’s base camp, around 6.30 pm. As such no one including pilgrims are not allowed to enter the city after 4.00 pm due to security reasons. We were not aware of it. Our vehicle was sent back and we asked the vehicle driver to stay for a couple of kilometres away. We requested the in-charge officer to allow us enter the city. But, they were very strict and did not allow us. In fact, our problem was more severe as we cannot go back also because there were no hotels for night stay even up to 100 kms or even more. Then one officer told that he will allow the vehicle and asked us to bring it immediately. Even though the vehicle was left by him as agreed, but again, the earlier officer came and stopped the vehicle and took the keys also. When we followed him requesting, by the grace of Swami, there is a senior officer sitting there, who immediately agreed to allow us enter the city. Again, by the grace of Swami, he told us to go to protective CRPF Battalion’s camp for night stay.
In fact, their fear was also very genuine because any terrorist attack can happen at any time. It will bring bad name due to the ongoing Amarnath yatra. Had they not allowed us to enter the city, we would not have had food or sleep during that night, and that too in such a cold temperature. But, by Swami’s grace, all were taken care. They provided food, shelter and other facilities.
Swami, please excuse me if there are any mistakes. I am also greatly indebted to Swami for giving me the highest post of His servant in the entire creation and requesting Swami for the same in all my future births. Namaskaram Swami. - Surya
