Swami answers questions of devotees

1. How can a devotee in the midst of worldly problems know You in end of life?

[A devotee from Vijayawada asked:- Pada Namaskaram Swami. Please explain the difference between Japa, Dhyana and Tapa? O Bhagavaan Vaasudeva! How can a devotee in the midst of worldly problems, know You in antya kalam (end of life)?]

Swami replied:- ‘Japa, Dhyaana and Tapas’ are the three branches of the same tree, which is climax love to God. Unless one loves God throughout one’s life period, one can’t start loving God suddenly at the end of life. If you are a mango pickle soaked in the jar for a long time, how can you suddenly become a rasagulla-sweet at the end of life?

2. How can God advice souls to not commit suicide when Rama Himself committed suicide?

[Ms. Bhanu Samykya asked:- Padanamaskaram Swami, When God Rama Himself committed suicide out of overwhelmed emotions and situations in life. How can He (God) say or advice souls to not commit suicide? Is depression so strong that Incarnation Himself couldn't come out of depression and committed suicide? What is solution for depression when it feels like life itself is worse than death. - At Your Divine Lotus Feet, Bhanu Samykya.]

Swami replied:- God Rama didn’t commit suicide due to depression. Angels sent a divine messenger to Rama saying that it is time for Him to return to His divine abode called Vaikuntha. There was no trace of depression in Rama while entering Sarayu River to leave His mortal body.
