Swami is Lord Venkateshwara
Shri Phani went to an interview for a high-level job in Madras under the pressure of everyone. The first interview took place. Phani was among the 14 people who were selected in the first interview. But Phani did not want to leave Vijayawada. Because the aim of his life is to serve Swami by staying in the presence of Swami. Meanwhile, he got a call for the second interview. He was waiting outside, ready to go for the second round of interview. Surprisingly, Lord Venkateshwara appeared to him. Swami said, "I will give you this job." Phani immediately said, "I don't want this job. My aim is to serve You existing in the form of Swami in Vijayawada." Lord Venkateshwara smiled and said, "Yes, your route is different" and disappeared. Then Phani looked at the watch for the time. It was exactly 12 noon. That day was Datta Jayanti.
At that time, Swami was sitting in Vijayawada in the midst of a group of devotees. At exactly 12 noon, Swami turned to Ajay and sang, "Repeatedly chanting the name of Govinda is enough; why food and drink? Why need a job?" Ajay was shocked. Because he had some work to do in his office at that time and so he was thinking about it. Immediately Swami said, "This is not about you; this is about Phani. Just now I told him in Madras that I would give him a good job. But he refused it." What should I do?" He said. Bhimasankaram and Vasumati offered Swami a new sweater with pranams. Swami smiled and said humorously, "Are you giving Me this as a gift first for the final selection of Phani? If so, I don't want this, because Phani is refusing when I am offering him the job," Swami accepted the sweater when they said that they had offered it without expecting any fruit in return. Later, Phani, who was not selected in the second round of interview, returned and explained the whole matter and the devotees were filled with joy. Isn't this small incident enough to prove that Swami is Shri Venkateshwara Himself?
