What is the meaning of endless service to God, when the upper worlds are only meant for enjoying the fruits of deeds?

The upper world means hell or heaven with reference to the departed ordinary souls and this is not with reference to departed devoted souls. In hell and heaven, only enjoyment of fruits is possible. But the departed devotees go to the abode of God and constantly serve Him there also. The abode of God is different from heaven or hell.
