[Shri Kenan Waked asked: Swami please guide me...Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba always insisted on not asking for material desires. But now I have become 35 years and because of my poverty, I started doubting myself and deservedness. My parents need my financial support as they are elders.
I am afraid that I have wrong understanding of Baba's commandments. I am stuck now and on the verge of losing all self-confidence in the spiritual path. Can I ask Baba for material wealth?]
Swami replied:- Baba is the incarnation of God Datta and is omniscient. He knows your situation better than yourself. He is only testing your true love on God, which is characterized by the lack of any aspiration from God in return. Hence, don’t fail in His test. Have patience. Patience is told to be the first requisite in the spiritual path. When you pass the test, He will bless you to the extent more than your imagination.
