Salutations to the almighty His Holiness Shri Datta Swami.
My name is Pavan Kumar and I’m 43 years old, while writing this. I’ll explain to you about a miracle which my family had witnessed 14 years back with His Holiness Shri Datta Swami.
I had little knowledge of astrology due to Swami’s grace and during those times, I had a strong sense that something unfortunate was going to happen to me. Strengthening this thought, Shri Ganapati Sachidananda Swami too were giving me clear feelers in my dreams about performing sacrifice (Daanam) to Rahu, Shani and Ketu grahas. Also, I had a dream that I had a major accident & my lower part of the body got paralyzed & due to this reason or fear, I never used to venture out on long / highway drives in my car. I was very conscious about this!
My wife (Priyadarsini) was pregnant and we performed a function at home at the end of 7th month (ritual according to traditions). Next day, we went for a regular doctor visit (1st day of 8th month) and we had to listen to the unfortunate news that the child was with multiple anomalies and even if the child is born, the child will not live beyond 15 days or the child will be mentally retarded. Ideally, doctors should identify this anomaly during the 3rd month or 5th month scan, but it was never suggested. We had this misfortune in life due to our bad Karma. Upon doctor’s advice and later taking advice from Shri Datta Swami, doctor made a decision to abort the child. It was a very unfortunate incident and the entire family went through the mental trauma even later to the abortion.
For the second time my wife was pregnant, and she was about to complete her 5th month. We both were working for MNCs and that day, we returned home around 9 PM. She was quite healthy and we both had a good time smiling and laughing over general things during the trip to home in our car from the office. Later during our regular conversations, my mother (Smt. Rama Sundari) told us that Swami is in Smt. Sruthakeerthi’s home (my mother’s elder sister). Our homes were hardly 50m away on the opposite side of the same road. I told her that I’ll have Swami’s Darshan tomorrow morning while going to the office as it was already late, and Swami would be taking rest during those late evening hours. Unexpectedly, Swami came to my home around 10 PM. We were pleasantly surprised and were in conversation with Swami. In the meantime, my wife went to the washroom & I could hear her loud screams multiple times. I rushed and realized that the second child got auto aborted. In that situation, I cried with a loud voice saying ‘Dattatreya’ multiple times. Swami was sitting in our drawing room and was silent. I had to pick my wife in my two hands, took permission from Swami to rush to the hospital and requested Him to stay back at home. Swami agreed and when we reached the hospital, the doctor was initially unkind stating that for such things we knock the doors at the late hours and disturb. When I begged her, she was kind enough to do the relevant medical procedure and discharged my wife the next day morning. We reached home and I questioned Swami out of distress of how such a thing can happen when He was at home. My thought was when sakshaat Dattatreya (Mangala Swaroopa) was at home, how can an unfortunate thing (Amangalam) happen?
H.H. Shri Datta Swami explained:
“I was in the house of Smt. Sruthakeerthi and was very tired and about to sleep early. At that time, Shri Dattatreya Swami asked Me to go to your house. I never knew the purpose of why I was asked to visit your house. I could visualize that one life from your home (Pavan) had to be taken off, however, how can Swami lose you? Swami knows that losing you (Pavan) is a greater pain than losing your child and the family must go through all the pain, but, temporarily only (till the next child is born). Dattatreya was checking the reaction of you when all this happened. When you shouted the name of the God (Dattatreya) even in that extreme situation, your voice pierced the heart of Dattatreya. There will be no miscarriage further & Dattatreya is going to bless you with a son and this is His firm word.”
Shri Datta Swami made my wife and me sing ‘Adugo Alladugo Venkata Dattudu” along with Him. He suggested that we both visit Subrahmanya temple every Sunday and asked us to take a one-time meal on that day. Both of us had regular and continuous darshan of Subrahmanya Swami at Skandagiri temple in Hyderabad and used to circumambulate 108 times around twin serpents (Nagadevatas) reciting ‘Uragesa vandanam’. On the day of 10-Dec-2010, Swami blessed us with a healthy baby boy (named Karthikeya Datta) and the child had Venkateswara Naamam on his forehead by birth. We realized that our Paapakarma got dissipated by the temple visit & circumambulations for years (Skandagiri). However, the boy born with Venkateswara Naamam is totally linked with the future vision of Shri Datta Swami (be certain of no miscarriage, you will have a baby boy) and Shri Datta Swami singing ‘Adugo Alladugo Venkata Dattudu’.
His Holiness Shri Datta Swami had shown His eternal kindness countless times during every life cycle (many Janmas) of His devotees. We must be extremely conscious of Him; trust Him and ensure we serve Him to the best extent that we can. Shri Datta Swami – I can only say that I love You and I will try my best to serve Your mission.
