[Shri Yash asked: Paada Namaskaaram Swami, could You please guide me on how to practice devotion without any expectations from God? Whenever I read scriptures or discourses, I sometimes remember that I should not ask God for anything, whether worldly or spiritual. However, I find myself lacking in practice. For example, when I do namaskar (salutation) to God, I immediately feel that God should grant me knowledge or protect me. Thank you. Best Regards, Yash]
Swami replied:- You can learn to love God without aspiring anything in return from God by observing the love of parents towards their children. Even though children neglect the parents in their old age, the parents write all their earnings in the name of their children only. Is this not the best example created by God in this creation to preach this concept?
