Is an extremely opposite quality modification possible in the case of an ordinary soul?

Swami replied:- You often become angry with your own children and not with other children outside. What is the reason? You have more love on your children and less love on others’ children. I also said that hell is the best proof for the love of God on the souls. It shows the anxiety of God to reform the souls as early as possible even through the punishments in hell. The parents, who love their child very much, request the doctor to give an injection so that their child recovers from the illness as early as possible. The parents neglect the pain of the injection and the resultant crying of the child. They don’t want medicines, which take long time to cure the illness. Anger of God shows the intensity of His love, which is often mistaken as revenge. God Shiva is called as Rudra, which means that He makes others weep (rodayati iti Rudraḥ). God Shiva punishes very strongly and make the souls weep terribly. The strong punishment indicates the strong love of God to reform the soul as early as possible. Even the highest anger shown by God Narasimha is nothing but His highest love on His devotee, Prahlāda. The pain, which was underwent by God due to His extreme love on His dearest devotee, Prahlāda, during the unimaginable punishments given by his father, turned into anger on the father of Prahlāda.
