1. Is my understanding of lust belongs to body and love belongs to heart correct?
[Smt. Lakshmi Lavanya K asked: Namaste Swami. You are saying love is different from lust. I understand lust belongs to body and love belongs to heart!?
Swami replied:- Service by body also comes under love. The heart also can be related to lust if the heart is filled with romantic feelings. Love belongs to heart, but it is also expressed by the service with body and other practical actions. Lust belongs to body, but it can also be expressed by heart and feelings of mind.
2. Which type of desires and thoughts comes under lust and love?
[You are saying aspiration free devotion is best, but before reaching that state, Please explain towards God. a) Which type of desires and thoughts comes under lust and
b) Which type of desires and thoughts comes under love.
c) Are emotions towards God comes under love or lust.]
Swami replied:- Love is a very broad word embracing all systems of the body in both theoretical and practical phases. Lust is a very a narrow word and exists in both theoretical and practical phases. Love in pure state is related to God in which only sacrifice and service to God exists from the side of the devotee without aspiring any fruit in return from God including romance with God. Lust is a selfish state related to world in which the devotee aspires from God to fulfill her sexual desires. If that selfish aspiration is smashed, the lust also becomes pure love. The distinction is very deep.
3. Whenever I meet a human incarnation, what should be my intention and how should my behaviour be?
[You are also saying if any soul touches human incarnation with lust, He will become illusory , then please explain whenever I meet human incarnation, what my intention and how my behaviour should be? (Whenever I am thinking there is illusory human incarnation in front of me, my heart aches). Thank You Swami.]
Swami replied:- Illusory means the world. Impure lust with selfish aspiration makes the God-component of the human incarnation to disappear along with its medium, leaving a similar looking human being in its place. If selfish aspiration is absent and only the aspiration to please God without any trace of selfish pleasure exists, such mental attitude is considered to be pure love. God likes to be with such devotees having pure love and also merges such souls within Him in the upper world.
