[Shri Anil asked: Bhagavad Gita 9.26: If one offers to Me with devotion a leaf, a flower, a fruit, or even water, I delightfully partake of that item offered with love by My devotee in pure consciousness. BG 18.55: Only by loving devotion to Me does one come to know who I am in Truth. Then, having come to know Me, My devotee enters into full consciousness of Me.
A person asked if God does not want any worship and service from us why did He say the above verses in Gita?]
Swami replied:- God is only showing the response to the deep devotion of the devotee. God is not at all aspiring for the devotion of the devotee. The spiritual path is invented and developed by devotees only.
