Why does God remain silent about the destruction of idols of God?

[Part of Online Satsanga held on January 10, 2021] Smt. Padmaram asked: Many idols of God are being destroyed these days. Even in the past, foreign invaders did the same. These are not just idols; they are the very God Himself for the devotees. We feel deeply hurt when we get to know about such incidents. My question is, why is God (Paramātmā) remaining silent about such incidents? Why is He not stopping such horrible things from happening?

Swāmi replied: You leave this topic to God Himself, who knows what to do and when. Inter-religious differences are responsible for such wrong actions. Such things will come to a permanent end only when Universal Spirituality preaching the equality of all religions is well-understood by everybody on this earth.
