The Bed Unused by Swami, Yet Marked by Footprints
On December 30, 2001, Datta Jayanti was celebrated with a large gathering of devotees. On that day, we arranged a bed for Swami in the Piitha Mandira itself. Swami told Phani, "Datta will definitely perform a miracle tonight." But that night, Swami went to Shri Koneru Satyanarayana's house for doing Satsang. So, the Piitha mandira (Datta Mandira) was locked. Therefore, we had to arrange a bed for Swami on the lower floor. By the time Swami arrived, it was very late. As soon as Swami arrived, He said, "You asked Me to sleep upstairs, so I will go." "Swami! We locked the upstairs Mandira and that is why we arranged the bed to sleep here," we said. Swami smiled and said okay and slept on the second floor. Swami got up early in the morning, took His bath, etc., and left for college. Later, when we opened the lock of the Datta Mandira on the third floor, we could clearly see the footprints and fingerprints of Shri Datta on the bed. Oh! What a wonderful miracle! We understood the meaning of Swami's smile earlier that night, as if to say, "Even if you lock it, can I not enter the room?" Oh! What a wonderful miracle this is.
