Controlling the Summer Heat
As it is proved quite frequently, Swami is directly Shri Datta Bhagavan. The five elements are under His control only. Devotees have prayed to reduce the summer heat in Vijayawada in one year. "Though I should not interfere in cycle of time and fruit of deeds of souls, I will reduce the heat for the sake of proof for devotees". Saying this, Swami sang a bhajan composed by Himself "Śrī Dattadevaṃ Yogādhinātham - koṭi suguṇa sundarāya". After the bhajan, He said like this. "The radiance of this sun is illuminated by the radiance of Lord Datta". Saying this, Swami’s slowly closed His eyes and went to deep meditation. By now, it is 4.00 hrs in the evening.
It seemed as if scorching Sun was calming down little by little. The sky became cloudy. It rained heavily with thunders and lightnings. Nature had calmed down from the next day onwards. Oh! What a miracle. The next year too, Swami responded to the similar prayers of the devotees. He performed the same miracle. The following year, Swami explained to the devotees that "one should not interfere in the cycle of time and the cycle of deeds" and advised them, "Do not express such desires." Oh! Is this not a proof that the all five elements are under the control of Swami?
