Brahma Lahari - Giving Divine Visions - 18

Giving Darshan as Digambara Datta

[Lakshmi (Judge's wife), Manga, Ammaji]

Smt. Manga garu, a resident of Ramachandrapuram in East Godavari district, was a great devotee of Swami. She often saw Swami in divine visions. Once, when she went to Bombay, she requested, "Swami! Will You be with me like a shadow?" Swami said, "Okay." While she was going to Bombay, Swami followed her like a shadow. On the way back, she requested Swami to "be clearly visible but not like a shadow." Swami sat opposite to her. After reaching Vijayawada, Swami got off and left. Once, while talking to Swami on the phone, she asked, "Appear in Your true form for a long time, Swami!" Then, Swami appeared in the form of Datta Digambara Piśāca (ghost) and fearing to see Him, she ran away.

The wife of a judge, who lives next door to Smt. Manga's house, read the Datta Veda book written by Swami and before she could have darshan of Swami, Swami stood in front of her and gave darshan. She had another direct darshan of Swami later. Similarly, she once saw Swami very clearly appeared in the Shivalinga during an abhishekam.

Once Swami appeared in the form of Shri Mahaa Vishnu with three vertical lines (Ūrdhva Tripuṇḍras) on forehead, conch shell and cakra in hands to a devotee named Ammaji, who had come from Ramachandrapuram to see Swami.
