Swami is Three-headed God Datta
One day, Swami slept on the second floor of our house in Krishna Lanka, Vijayawada. As usual, we made a bed and put a small pillow in the Shri Datta Peetha Mandir on the third floor and performed the ritual of making God sleep (Pavaliṃpu Seva). It was dawn. Our Swami, who was sleeping on the second floor, woke up, looked at my wife and said, "O mother Bhavani! Why did you put such a small pillow? Should it be enough for My three heads? At least tomorrow, put a slightly bigger pillow." We didn't understand why He said that because we had put a big pillow for Swami, who was sleeping on the second floor! Swami had finished His bath, etc., and left. After that, we, as usual, went to the upper temple (on the 3rd floor) to take out the bed and clean the temple. Surprising! The pillow we had placed on that bed that night was heavily pressed on the right side. Then only, we understood the words spoken by Swami. The pillow we had placed was enough for two heads and was not enough for the third head of Swami. Isn't this direct proof of the song sung by Swami, "I am the three-headed, the ruler of the three worlds"?
From that day onwards, we placed a large pillow on the bed in the upstairs of Datta Mandir. We worshipped Swami with doubled devotion, believing that He is truly the three-headed Shri Datta. Swami! We are blessed!
