Saving a Little Girl
[Shri Ramanatha Iyer, his better half, and daughter]
Shri Ramanatha Iyer is working as a vice president in UTI Bank in Bombay. Once Shri Ramanatha Iyer had darshan of Swami. After some days, his daughter became seriously ill. The girl was admitted to the intensive care unit of the hospital. Shri Iyer sat in front of Swami's photo and prayed to Swami, "Swami! You only can save her." At that time, Swami was in Vijayawada. Swami, who was interacting with the devotees, smiled and sang, "To erase the writings on the forehead, the one who wrote them is only all capable" (nuduṭi vrātalanu tuḍiciveyagā, vrāsina vāre sarva samarthulu) That's it! The girl's illness disappeared and she came out of the death dancing and singing! Iyer called Swami to express his gratitude. Swami sang the same song to make Iyer listen to it on the phone itself. Everyone was happy. This stanza is in the Telugu Brahma Gayatri divine bhajan written by Swami.
However, when Iyer's younger sister fell seriously ill and was admitted to the hospital, he called Swami. He requested Swami to protect her. At that time, Swami said, "It's no use. Chant the name of Shri Rama in her ear." She dies on the following day. Aha! Everything happens as per the plan of God!
