How can God incarnate as a pig, fight with a demon and retrieve Earth from under the ocean, when the ocean itself is on Earth?

Swami replied: The symbolic story must be understood for its concept. The earth represents humanity. The sea represents the worldly attractions. The demon represents the preacher, who attracted the humanity and immersed it in the worldly attractions opposing the existence of God. The earth is lifted on mouth of the pig. This indicates that God in human form came down and lifted the humanity from the worldly attractions by preaching through mouth. Here, the demon-preacher and the followers are really the stupid pigs. God in the form of pig indicates that God has to come in the medium having similar qualities of the people who should be lifted up. Similarly, God came as fish and lifted the knowledge of God (the Veda) from the ocean, which was stolen by a demon. This again represents that the knowledge of God was used as instrument to achieve the worldly happiness and thus, the spiritual knowledge is immersed in the worldly attraction. The fish represents the third eye of knowledge by which the spiritual knowledge is isolated from such worldly attraction so that God is the ultimate aim to be achieved and not instrumental to achieve worldly happiness.
