[Dharma is greater than the Lord. Krishna asked Dharma Raja to tell a lie. Dharma Raja told the lie by uttering the word ‘elephant’ in a low voice. Therefore Dharma Raja went to hell for uttering the lie as advised by Krishna.]
Swami replied:- The Gita says “Sarva Dharman Parityajya”, which means that the Lord is greater than justice. The Lord Datta is protecting the deity of justice, who is shown as a cow. The protector is greater than the protected. Therefore Dharma Raja went to hell for a greater sin than telling a lie. The greater sin is not following the advice of the Lord. [He should have told the lie without hesitation when Krishna adviced him to do so. But since he hesitated, he went to hell.]
