Swami answers questions of Ms. Bhanu Samykya

1. If spiritual knowledge is like the fire that burns ignorance, why did Ravana fail to reform?

[Ms. Bhanu Samykya asked:- Padanamaskaram Swami, You have told that spiritual knowledge is like the fire that burns ignorance. But, in one of the discourse (https://www.universal-spirituality.org/discourses/satsanga-with-atheists-(part-1)--5561--5570--ENG), You have told that even though Ravana was a great scholar in the four Vedas and the six Shastras and his 10 heads represent these scriptures, he was still ignorant. According to this statement, it seems like spiritual knowledge failed to reform Ravan and didn't stop him from becoming a demon? Swami replied:- I wonder that how you don’t understand this simple medical concept being a doctor. Simply eating (Śravaṇam) the food doesn’t give energy to you because the digestion of eaten food alone gives energy to the body. Ravana has simply eaten spiritual knowledge but couldn’t digest it. Digestion means continuously remembering (Mananam) the concepts so that they get printed in the faculty of memory. This printing of concepts in the memory is called Nididhyāsa. For digestion of food, the digestive system should be perfect. It means that your mental setup (powerful thoughts acquired from previous births) must be perfectly good. The digestive enzymes must also be proper, which are your present friendly associations (Saṅga).

2. Why didn't Swami accept a female devotee, who approached Him to solve her issue of unsatisfied sexual desires?

[Swami, based on the recent incident, one of Your devotees asked "When the whole purpose of rasa-dance done by God Krishna is to attract the females in Dushpravrutti towards God so that God can satisfy them using His illusory forms and encourage them towards learning the spiritual knowledge, why didn't Swami welcome a female devotee, who wanted to approach the contemporary Krishna to resolve her issue of unsatisfied sexual desires? Why did Swami reply to her harshly?"]

Swami replied:- It is a fake case. Swami is also omniscient since the omniscient God merged with Him. This is a trick played by a close devotee of Swami to test Swami!

3. Why did Swami reveal now that God created His illusory forms in rasa dance but not involved directly?

[When God Krishna conducted the raasa dance in Brundavanam for the sake of encouraging lustful devotees in Kali age to divert towards God and learn the spiritual knowledge, the arthavaada (beneficial lie) that ‘God Himself romanced with the devoted souls’ must be sustained throughout the Kali age without revealing the truth that God created His illusory forms. This truth definitely discourages devotees to enter into sweet devotion itself. Why did Swami reveal it now?]

Swami replied:- Swami is “Jñāna Mohinī”. The beauty of His spiritual knowledge is unimaginable and can do the same work with the help of His wonderful spiritual knowledge. The above method has become defective since the standards of Kali age are on the minus side and not simply low on the positive side. You are correct to say that if the secret of illusory forms is revealed, the above process will be disturbed. If not revealed, Swami will be misunderstood and this is what happened with God Krishna. In earlier ages, even devotees in Dushpravrutti were having a lot of patience to wait for the practical response from the other side. This gap time was used by God to preach spiritual knowledge. Today, in this Kali age, Dushpravrutti has no patience at all. Unless practical response is given immediately, devotees don’t have patience to listen and digest  spiritual knowledge. In the earlier ages, devotees sacrificed justice also for the sake of God only in such time when God Himself conducted the test. Now, devotees themselves decide to cross justice to get some selfish pleasure from God. They think that instead of changing one human being for the sake of another human being, they are anxious about the variety of selfish pleasure, if the change is from one human being to God because God is completely different from any human being. The omniscient God knows even the deep-deeper-deepest feelings of the devotee. God is always the perfect competent authority to modify the ways of preaching as per the changing times.
