Which is more important: seeing the Sadguru or studying the knowledge of the Sadguru?

[Reply to a question by Shri Kartik] Swami replied: If seeing the Sadguru is also associated with conversation, involving the clarification of one’s doubts, then seeing is also important. Merely seeing the Sadguru, without the conversation is not at all effective. There is no effect on the mind and on the consciousness by merely seeing the Sadguru. The king is passing by on the road. Merely seeing him provides no benefit. Even without seeing him, if one gets his favour in some work, that grace of the king is really beneficial. Mere seeing is of no use for the reformation of the soul and without reformation, spiritual progress is not possible at all.
