Jīvo nāsti sṛṣṭi pūrvaṃ,
sṛṣṭyanantara masti saḥ।
Mukteḥ param asti tasmin,
sūkṣma ānanda bhogavān॥

[Before the creation of this world, the soul did not exist because the soul is a tiny part of the creation. The soul existed after the creation of the inert items of the world because the Veda says that the soul is created at the end of all inert items of the creation. Even after salvation, the soul exists in the energetic form of God with a very minute and subtle energetic body, enjoying the infinite bliss of God along with God.]

Vedād ākāśa ādyo'bhūt,
caramā cit phalānnataḥ।
Ayaṃ vaidika siddhāntaḥ,
vijñāna pariṇāma vat॥

[As per the Veda, creation starts with the creation of space first (Ātmana ākāśaḥ…- Veda). After that, the other four elements were created by God. Then, from the earth (the last of five elements), plants were created. From plants, food was created. From food, the soul was created (Annāt puruṣaḥ - Veda). This concept of creation totally coincides with the scientific evolution theory.]

Hema vistāratāṃ yāti,
tāmrāt kevala mīkṣyate।
Viśiṣṭādvaya madvaitaṃ,
Dvaitaṃ ca yantra gocaram॥

[Gold is a single metal. It becomes malleable and ductile only due to the addition of copper. Even though gold is mixed with copper, it appears to our eyes as pure gold only. This is the monism of Shri Shankara. Since gold is in major quantity and copper is in minor quantity in an inseparable state, this is the qualified monism of Shri Ramanuja. If this gold is observed under a powerful microscope, gold atoms are seen separately from copper atoms. This is the dualism of Shri Madhva.]

Evaṃ tasmin mukta jīvaḥ,
tridhā varteta yadyayam।
Naśyed ānanda bhogo no,
sad Brahmaiva avaśiṣyate॥

[In the same way, the soul after salvation exists in all three states as per the angle of the spectator and the instruments used to analyze the topic. In monism, only naked eyes are used and hence, monism between God and soul appears. After learning that both exist together, since God is the major component and the soul is a minor component mixed in an inseparable state, the qualified monism appears. The existence of both God and the soul separately can be understood with the help of logical analysis (like microscope). If soul dissolves and disappears, it is a total loss for the soul, missing the enjoyment of the infinite bliss of God. In such case, God alone remains with His original infinite bliss and the original state of God continues forever. By this, no significant change can be observed.]

Mṛtyoḥ paraṃ sa tejo'ṅgaḥ,
tejo'ṅge līyate vibhoḥ।
Sarva śakti kṛte Kṛṣṇe,
tejo'ṅga śiśupālavat॥

[Salvation of a selected devoted soul happens after the death of its gross body and the soul, surrounded by a tiny energetic body, merges with the energetic incarnation of God. Merge means the existence of dualism in very subtle state. This is the general procedure called ‘Videha Mukti’. The omnipotent God showed exception to this general rule also when the soul of Śiśupāla, surrounded by a radiating energetic body, merged in the human body of God Kṛṣṇa.]

Śarkarā līyate toye,
na bhinnā dṛśyate'kṣibhiḥ।
Bhinnāṇavo yantra dṛṣṭāḥ,
yantrārthas tarka darśanam॥

[The sugar dissolves in water and the particles of sugar are not seen separately in the water by the naked human eyes. If you use a powerful microscope, the molecules of water and the molecules of sugar are seen separately. Śrī Madhva found this difference with the help of His powerful logic, even though microscope was not present in His time. The commentary of Śrī Madhva is famous for its deep logic and is called as ‘Aṇubhāṣyam’]

Vyavahāre bheda sattā,
Dvaitaṃ saṅgena cāparam।
Bhedo līne'pi sānnidhye,
trimatānāṃ samanvayāt॥

[Śrī Śaṅkara agreed all types of differences in the relative reality (the absolute reality gifted by God to the world) of the creation and thus, He is not opposing difference at all in the worldly experience of souls. Śrī Rāmānuja taught dualism in inseparable state. Śrī Madhva taught about the absence of merge of the soul in the energetic body of God. Whether the soul is outside God or inside God, it makes no difference because the difference between God and soul is very much accepted by all the three philosophies. Even though a liberated soul stays outside God, he/she can be inseparable from God with close association in God’s mission. Like this, all the three divine philosophies are correlated.]

Yadā bhakto bhāva līnaḥ,
tasmin dvaitaṃ vibhāti hi।
Śabdārtha grahaṇe bhāvāt,
alaṅkārārtha utthitaḥ॥

[When a devotee is mentally absorbed in God, we say that the devotee is dissolved in God. This does not mean that the devotee merged with God and is not seen outside God. When you take the meaning of a word, it generates a specific explanation (Bhāva), which projects a figure of speech. Hence, staying very close can be explained as merging.]

Kalaho jāyate nityaṃ,
śabdārtha mita pāmaraiḥ।
Kvāsti bhedas Trimūrtīnāṃ,
Trigurūṇāṃ ca Dattataḥ॥

[When ordinary people take only the word and meaning without going into depth to grasp the essential explanation, quarrels will always arise. God Datta is only one, who incarnated as God Brahmā, God Viṣṇu and God Śiva and these three divine incarnations have incarnated as Śrī Madhva, Śrī Rāmānuja and Śrī Śaṅkara. How can there be a difference in concepts within the mind of the same single God Datta?]

Prādhānye'pi samatvaṃ hi,
kṣīṇā' hantā kramādadhaḥ।
Ūrdhvakrame tu sāmīpyaṃ,
vardhate sādhakasya ca॥

[Actually, the descending order is God Brahmā (Śrī Madhva), God Viṣṇu (Śrī Rāmānuja) and God Śiva (Śrī Śaṅkara). This order is maintained in view of the gradually increasing ego of the devotee that is to be dealt by the corresponding divine preacher [i) Śrī Madhva told that God is totally different from the disciple and this is when ego is zero. ii) Śrī Rāmānuja told that soul is a part of God and this is when ego is 50% and iii) Śrī Śaṅkara told that soul is God and this is when ego is 100%)]. This is the order from top to bottom. If you observe the ascending order from bottom to top, the soul is becoming more and more near to God. In this way, on both sides, a gradual change is maintained.]

Iti vijñāya Vedārthaṃ,
śamena prathamātmanā।
Punas trimata tāmbūla —
vidhiṃ kuryā cca paṇḍitaḥ॥

[Like this, everyone shall understand the meaning of the Vedic statements after attaining the first important spiritual quality that must pervade throughout life, which is called as patience. Such a devotee is called spiritual scholar and such scholar should revive the old ritual of ‘Trimata Tāmbūlam’, which means worshipping the three divine preachers together at the beginning of performing any ritual.]

Iti Śrī Datta Svāmi viracita Śrī Rājīva Gītāyāṃ Brahma Jagat Bheda Vicāra Yogo Nāma Tṛtīyādhyāyaḥ।

[Like this, in Shri Rājīva Gītā, composed by His Holiness Shri Datta Swami, the Third Chapter called ‘The Association of Enquiry of the difference between God and World’ is completed.]
