Part-1
[28-01-2003] According to Hinduism, there are three religions. They are Advaita (Monism), Vishishtadvaita (Special Monism) and Dvaita (Dualism). Hinduism is a mini world of world religions like the human body being a mini world of the external larger world. There is no difference between the mini world and the larger world. Scholars say that the mini world (piṇḍāṇḍa) itself is the larger world (Brahmāṇḍa). The material contained in the human body is the same as that contained in the universe. In both, the contained material, inert five elements, called ‘Aparā Prakriti’ and non-inert awareness, called ‘Parā Prakriti’ is the same. . So, the multiple religions in the universe are similar to the multiple religions within Hinduism. If India is a mini world, (Piṇḍāṇḍa), then this entire earth is the larger world (Brahmāṇḍa). Three important religions flourish on this earth. They are Hinduism, Christianity and Islam. In Hinduism, there are three sub-religions namely Advaita, Vishishtadvaita and Dvaita. A person who cannot see unity in Advaita, Vishishtadvaita and Dvaita in Hinduism, how can he see unity in Hinduism, Christianity and Islam? When you cannot reach even the sling hung at your roof, how can you think of even climbing to the heaven?
When you cannot see unity in the commentaries of Shankara, Ramunuja and Madhvacarya on a single scripture, how can you see unity in the Bhagavad Gita, the Bible and the Quran? When you cannot make one single hall by breaking the walls between the three rooms in your own house, how can you break the walls between three different houses to turn them into one single house? No other religion really has as many scriptures and shastras as available in Hinduism. That means, Hinduism has a lot of resources of spiritual knowledge to realize the absolute truth. How can you expect that the rest of the souls in the world find the truth when you yourself cannot find the truth with the availability of so many scriptural resources? When scholars of Advaita, Vishishtadvaita and Dvaita fight with each other, it is not surprising that all religions in the world are fighting with each other. Vīraśaivas claim that Shiva is the only God in Hinduism. Vīra Vaishnavas say that Vishnu is the only God. Śākteyas says that Śakti is the only Goddess. Fearing these conflicts of the devotees of Shiva and Vishnu, God Brahmā deprived Himself of not having a temple for His worship. What is the inner meaning of this?
God Brahmā means the creator Brahmā Who is directly the ‘Parabrahman.’ He is the author of the Vedas. He is the embodiment of knowledge and Goddess of knowledge is on His tongue. That is, He is the ultimate preacher, who preaches spiritual knowledge through words. It means He is Lord Datta Himself Who is called ‘Guru Datta.’ Looking at these conflicts, Lord Datta, slipped away from our worships. Vishnu, Shiva and Shakti are His roles only. Therefore, by the slipping away of Lord Datta, what remained for Vīra Śaivas is Shiva, which is simply the name of a role. Similarly, what remained for Vīra Vaishnavs is Vishnu, which is simply the name of a role. In the similar way, what remained for the Śākteyas is nothing but the sari of the Goddess, the ornaments and the crown. When you can't find the actor in all three roles and your focus is only on the role, the actor playing the roles slips away from your attention. Similarly, the people who bring foolish conflicts in the three major world religions and fight, roles (name of respective Gods) of the actor (God) only remained without identifying the real actor in them.
A teacher, while wearing pant and shirt, teaches a lesson in a section in English medium. Same teacher, wearing shirt and dhoti, teaches the same lesson in another section, in the Telugu medium. Now, students of a section are fighting with the students of the other section that their teacher is only great and their lesson only is great. But there are some intelligent students in both sections who are able to observe the reality with concentration. They tell the rest of the students in this way:

Oh Students! Why are you fighting? The same teacher has taught the same syllabus in the respective languages wearing suitable dresses. There is only one teacher, who played both English and Telugu teaching roles. The lesson is also same in both classes though the language is different. You should not pay attention to the roles of your teacher but look closely at the nature of the teacher. Then, you will know the truth. Any student, who knows both languages, should come forward and read both the lessons taught in two different languages. Then one will realize that the same teacher has taught same lesson in both the lanuguages.
In recent times, it was Swami Vivekananda who taught this reality to the world. He described religious fanatic of each religion as a well-frog coming from the respective well of religion. There is only one God who plays different roles. He declared that the languages are different, but the underlying spirituality is the same. Hence, Lord Datta not only belong to the Hindu religion alone, He is the actor playing different roles with different names in all the world religions. All religious scriptures are like His lessons in different languages. He taught the same syllabus in the respective languages, wearing dresses culturally suitable for the respective countries. In every country, there are high schools, colleges and universities. Similarly, in every country, there are souls with low, medium and high levels of spiritual effort. Therefore, in each religion, there are different lessons according to the stages of the spiritual efforts of souls who are at different stages in that religion.
Part-2
All countries have the same syllabus for high school students. Similarly, all the countries have the same level of syllabus for college level students. In similar lines, the same level of syllabus is there for university level students in all countries. ‘High school,’ ‘college’ and ‘university’ syllabi are different in the same country where they are taught in the same language. In our Hindu religion, the quarreling of scholars of three religions is like quarrelling of high school, college and university ‘students’ with each other in our town. High school students in our state and high school students in other state are fighting with each other not knowing that syllabus is same in both states. Therefore, there is a fight between the students in our town due to the difference in the ‘syllabus,’ even though the language is the same. Whereas, high school students of our state and the high school students of the other state are fighting due to the difference in ‘language,’ even though the ‘syllabus’ is the same. There is another fight as if these fights are not enough. In our state, a high school student knows the language of the other state. He compares the high school syllabus of this state with the college syllabus of the other state and fights by saying that there is no education in such and such a state. When will these fights end?
In all religions, there are sādhakas (people putting in spiritual efforts) at the ‘lowest,’ ‘middle’ and ‘highest’ levels. If we compare the spiritual knowledge related to those of low level in one religion and that of sādhakas belonging to the same low level in another religion, it becomes clear that the spiritual knowledge is the same. Similarly, sādhakas of the middle and highest levels compare with their corresponding level subjects in all religions; they can see the unity in all religions and conclude that the spirit of all religions is one. The main aim of this Jnana Saraswati is to explain and prove this.
The high school, college and university levels of our Hinduism are Advaita, Visishtadvaita and Dvaita religions, respectively. In Advaita, the spiritual knowledge carved by Shankara is the first step to attain the God. Please note that college and university education are not available without a high school education. So, what knowledge Shankara has preached is related to the High school level education. Therefore, high school education should not be considered inferior. So, knowledge (jñāna) is the root cause in the attainment of the God. After that, devotion (bhakti) mentioned by Ramanuja in Vishishtadvaita is the second step to attain the God. The second step is like the college education. After attaining God, your proof of true devotion shown by action is called ‘service,’ which is the third step and Madhva preached this as the highest at university level. Without practical action, words and feelings are useless and false in spiritual progression. The test of Lord Datta is to see whether our devotion is in practical stage or in theoretical stage.
