Why do people greet each other Happy Good Friday on the death day of Jesus?

[Smt. Lakshmi Lavanya K asked: Good Friday is the death day of Jesus Christ, but why are all wishing one another Happy Good Friday? Thank You Swami.]

Swami replied:- The crucifixion of Jesus brought a lot of change in the hearts of cruel people, which is the victory of God. Such a change is very much appreciable and is a matter of happiness. The death of Jesus Christ must be viewed with clear spiritual knowledge since it is not an ordinary human death. While carrying the cross, Jesus told the people weeping for Him that they shall weep for themselves and for their children and not for Him. The suffering experienced by Him was just for a few hours only after which He was going to sit on the right lap of the Father of heaven forever. The people who were not suffering at all at that time were happy for a short time of human life after which they were going to fall in the liquid fire forever. Exactly, this concept was told by God Krishna in the Gita (Yattadagre viṣamiva…).
