How to understand my limitations in spiritual journey?

Swami replied:- If you reduce your ego and ambition for self-projection, you will realize your limitations and you will also realize yourself as the tiniest and most incompetent and undeserving to become the omnipotent God. The actual status of any soul is very low and the individual human being (possessor of the soul) thinks that the status of his/her soul is very high. Actually, self-realization means the realization that you are the awareness present in your body and that you are not your body. By such self-realization, you will be able to understand that all your worldly bonds belong to your body only and not to your self. After death, your body is destroyed and therefore, all the worldly bonds related to your body are also destroyed. Hence, these worldly bonds are not following you to your next birth and such realization will make you to break your blind fascination towards all these worldly bonds and inspire you to develop fascination towards God, who is the permanent bond that follows you in every birth.
