Śrī Rādhā Devī uvāca:-
[Shri Radha Devi spoke:-]
[Why should the soul leave these worldly bonds, which are called ‘preyaḥ’ (dear) because along with the love towards these worldly bonds, even the climax devotion to God can be maintained simultaneously?]
Śrī Kṛṣṇna Bhagavān uvāca:-
[God Shri Krishna spoke:-]
[In Pravrutti or worldly life, all the worldly bonds, especially the three strongest worldly bonds called ‘Eṣaṇātrayam’ (bonds with money, spouse and child) are the root cause for all the sins. Even in Nivrutti or spiritual life, these worldly bonds become obstruction in the early stage. They oppose the learning of spiritual knowledge in the early stage as well as the practice to be done in the advanced stage of spiritual life (in the early stage, one tries to go and listen the Spiritual Preacher and in the advanced stage, one tries to do service and sacrifice to the Divine Spiritual Preacher. The family bonds will certainly hinder and oppose such spiritual efforts from beginning to end.)]
[The death in this very short life of the soul is going to destroy all the worldly bonds forever. Is it not better to leave these worldly bonds opposing Pravrutti and Nivrutti even before death for the sake of service and sacrifice to God and get the eternal grace of God? An example for this concept is:- Suppose you have accumulated some excess money and the Income Tax officer is anyhow going to snatch that amount in the raid by tomorrow. Is it not better to donate this amount to God today itself, which not only gets an exemption from tax, but also gets you the eternal grace of God? It is always better to sacrifice the temporary item for getting the permanent item.]
[The people of these worldly bonds are also not direct enemies to Me because they also want My grace for their worldly benefits. They only oppose My devotee from doing service and sacrifice to Me due to which the devotee may be benefited from Me. They want themselves alone to be benefited and not even their own devoted kith and kin. This is selfishness based double-standard. They want to get personal benefits from Me, but, they don’t want their related devotee to get benefits from Me, even though the devotee is closely bonded to them! This proves that their love to My devotee is false as told in the Veda and the Gita. The Veda says that the spouse and children love the soul for their happiness only and not for the happiness of the soul (Ātmanastu kāmāya… - Veda). Regarding the response from God, the Veda says that God is just a reflection of the soul (Rūpaṃ rūpaṃ pratirūpo babhūva) and the Gita also says the same thing that God reflects in the same way you approach Him (Ye yathā mām…).]
[These worldly bonds do not oppose Me directly since they also worship Me directly for their selfish benefits, but, they oppose My devotee in order to spoil his/her benefit from Me! I also do not oppose these worldly bonds directly by advising My devotee not to leave the worldly bonds since they will be spontaneously dropped due to the devotion to My bond. Their advice and My advice do not harm each other directly like the arrows failing in the case of shielded enemies. My politics is a reflection of their politics. However, the destruction of these worldly bonds will help the Pravrutti through reforming the soul by avoiding its sinful actions and will also help the Nivrutti through salvation of the soul by proving all the love of the devotee is on the permanent God only and not on any temporary worldly bond.]
[Dushpravrutti represents injustice leading to the lower worlds. Pravrutti represents justice leading to the middle world. Nivrutti represents salvation leading to the upper worlds.]
[Upper place is always better than the middle place. The lower place is not at all good compared to the middle place. Instead of falling to the lower place from the middle place, it is better to stay in the middle place only. Hence, the human being present in the middle place shall always do vigorous efforts to travel to the upper place. This means that the highest God is better than this central earth and the higher heaven linked to justice. The lowest hell is not at all good compared to the middle earth. Instead of falling into the lowest hell, it is always better to stay on the middle earth and try to reach the higher heaven at least, if not the highest abode of God.]
[My power of creation is of two types:- i) To multiply Myself and create My own real forms and ii) To create illusory forms inherently non-existing and existing due to My gifted reality. The example for the first type of power is seen in My energetic incarnations in the upper worlds and human incarnations of various religions on the earth. This is the power used in Nivrutti. In Pravrutti, the second type of power of God is used for the creation of inert items and non-inert souls.]
[There are two types of statements in the Veda regarding these two types of powers:- 1) “Eko'haṃ bahu syām…” means “let Me, the one, multiply Myself to be born as many forms”, ii) “Indro māyābhiḥ pururūpa īyate” means “God created several mithyā forms using the power of Māyā”. When I stole butter in the village, I exhibited My first type of power so that My one real form remains in the house while My other real forms were involved in stealing butter in various houses. In this context, I pleased My devotees with My real forms only. I exhibited My second type of power now in this rāsa-dance by creating My illusory forms to dance with the same Gopikas.]
[While I was stealing butter, I gave pleasure to all these Gopikas with My real forms because there was no romance in that stage with those devotees. While I was in romance with you, Radha, I was in My real form only while standing at the centre of this dance. My illusory forms are in romance with these devoted Gopikas. Myself, Krishna and yourself, Radha, being the real forms of God, we both represent Nivrutti at the centre. The moving circle around us containing illusory Gopikas with illusory Krishnas represent Pravrutti or world, which is illusory or Mithyā. God with His power is constant and unchangeable as represented by both of us standing at the centre without movement. This world is continuously changing as represented by the moving circle of souls (Gopikas and illusory Krishnas) around us. The base of a circle is its centre. Similarly, the base of this world is God with His power as represented by both of us standing at the centre. This rāsa-dance represents the concept of the central stable God with His inherent power standing as the base for entire creation while the entire creation is moving around God and His power situated at the centre (Īśvaras sarva bhūtānām, hṛddeśe'rjuna tiṣṭhati, bhrāmayan sarva bhūtāni, yantrārūḍhāni māyayā—Gita). Unimaginable God/ Brahman/ Parabrahman with His manifested unimaginable power is called Īśvara or Saguṇa Brahman. The same Unimaginable God/ Brahman/ Parabrahman with His unmanifested-unimaginable power is called Nirguṇa Brahman.]
[The word ‘mithyā’ or ‘illusion’ does not mean complete unreality. In the illusion of serpent on seeing a rope, can there be illusion based on serpent alone without the existence of basic rope? When the mud pot is broken, the unreal shape of the pot gets disappeared while the reality continues in the form of broken shells of the pot. Similarly, even if the items of the world disappear by change due to their inherent unreality, the gifted reality by God is maintained by the resulting item, which is different from the disappeared item. Hence, Mithyā or illusion does not mean either single reality or single unreality because it is a mixture of both reality and unreality without any contradiction with each other since reality exists in one time (at present after the creation) and unreality existed in another time (in the past stage before the creation).]
[Since the sages are human souls only, the Gopikas are also not unreal because they were also created along with the usual human beings in the creation. The illusory Krishnas are not different from Gopikas or from any other human being because the same reality is present as original reality with Radha and Krishna and the same reality is present as gifted reality with Gopikas and illusory Krishnas or any other human being. The only difference between the couple of Radha-Krishna and other human beings of the world including the Gopikas and illusory Krishnas is that the reality in the divine couple is original and eternal whereas in all others, it is gifted reality from God that is transferred to their resulting product-items after change or destruction. The gifted reality of the pot is transferred to its broken shells after the breakage of pot.]
[Between real Krishna and illusory Krishna, the entire medium is one and the same consisting of five elements and the only difference is that the unimaginable God merged with real Krishna, whereas the unimaginable God is not present in illusory Krishna and this point applies to all illusory souls and items of the creation. Based on this fact that both have similar form consisting of the five elements, some fools think that real Krishna and illusory Krishna are one and the same or at least connected in some point like similar form and hence, they conclude that real Krishna is also involved in the dance with Gopikas. What a wonderful intelligence these fools have!]
[Even the worldly parameters fail to measure the purity of God. O! Unfortunate fate! These fools are measuring God with the worst worldly parameters of Kali age. O! Can there be more unfortunate fate than this situation?]
[God is not involved in the romance with any soul in action, words and feelings except with His own divine embodiment of power, who is Radha, Rukmini, Sita etc. The arrangement of duplicate illusory forms for the sake of Gopikas belonging to the tremendous Nivrutti state is inevitable for God, the divine administrator, especially in the path of Nivrutti. If God does not make even such arrangement thinking that fools will blame Him for the indirect involvement, the devoted soul will become ash in the climax devotion for God. The doctor will arrange any method of treatment to save the life of the patient. God is said to be the divine doctor to cure the serious illness of Nivrutti. Such stage is just climax of madness and if it is not pacified, the soul will undergo death (Unmādo maraṇaṃ tataḥ). It will be very famous that a future devotee called Shri Chaitanya Mahaa Prabhu, the incarnation of Radha, gets fever every day for God Krishna, which subsides only when God Krishna embraces him every day!]
[All the essence of theoretical knowledge shall be applied by the doctor as per the condition of the patient. To a practical case in real life, you cannot apply the order of theoretical knowledge studied by you in the classroom of your previous study period. You have to choose a new order of steps based on the condition of that particular case. This has to be followed even in the field of engineering because in the practical field, things are different and more complicated. Based on the individual case of the devotee, the Divine Preacher applies the spiritual knowledge as per the need of the situation of the devotee. Hence, you cannot measure God based on the order in which you are preached in the theoretical spiritual knowledge in your theory classes.]
[Whether it is theoretical field or practical field, the fundamentals of the theory are not changed. The fundamentals in this topic are that God involves in romance with His personified power only and not with any soul. At the same time, He appears as if He is involved in romance with devotees by creating His duplicate forms hiding the truth that these duplicate forms are not His real forms. This is inevitable in the program of Nivrutti since the devotees are dying for God and if they are not satisfied, they cannot progress further and destroy themselves in pain. This program is not a sin and even if God is taken as the Director (Kārayitā) of this program, the sin is not shared by God since this program is highly meritorious leading the devotee in the spiritual path towards God. These fundamentals are to be kept in the mind while criticising God.]
[The three qualities, which are Sattvam, Rajas and Tamas and also the three stages, which are spiritual knowledge, devotion and practice are not in a specific order mentioned by the scriptures in the case of devotees in practical field. Devotees are in different mixture of qualities with different varying quantities of these three stages. The treatment of each particular patient suffering with different combination of diseases becomes very complicated for the doctor. Similarly, the procedure followed by the Divine Preacher is also very complicated without a systematic order. Hence, the Divine Preacher shall not be misunderstood in His way of dealing the devotees.]
[Neither the truth nor the subject of scriptures is important for the Divine Preacher. The most important action of the Spiritual Preacher is the immediate treatment of the psychology of the disciple and the immediate relief followed by the subsequent spiritual progress, which is eternal for the devotee. In early ages, disciples used to come to the Spiritual Preacher. In Kali age, the souls are very much damaged due to their negligence to the spiritual line and their tremendous attraction to materialistic life. In such case, the Divine Preacher goes to disciples if He has confidence that the soul will be reformed on preaching. By this, the value of Divine Preacher should not be lowered.]
[The standard of devotion will fall to a great extent in the coming Kali age. Previously, a devotee used to simply believe whatever I say. If I say that an item seen on the top of the tree is a fruit, the devotee confirms saying that it is fruit. If I say that it looks like a flower, the devotee blindly confirms it. But, in the Kali age, this procedure will be reversed. Whatever the devotee says, I have to blindly confirm it. Otherwise, the devotee will leave Me and get destroyed. To save My devotee from self-destruction, I have to blindly confirm whatever the devotee says as true and defend him/her as correct. Due to this action, I will be misunderstood by some other devotees. In this way, the influence of time on the spiritual preaching is also significant, which even controls Me.]
[So far, from the beginning of the creation, there is no spiritual devotee like this sage born as Gopika, who did terrible penance for God in uncountable births. Therefore, no incarnation of Myself did this rāsa-dance in this way. When the eligible candidate exists, then only the suitable examination can be conducted.]
[Penance means the enquiry about the personality of God continuously due to continuous interest. The Veda says that alone is the real penance (Taddhi tapaḥ taddhi tapaḥ). The constant interest and anxiety, which is a continuous fever like agony is the real penance. Simply sitting with mental concentration without real love to God for the sake of an aspiration to be fulfilled is the demonic penance.]
[Moreover, when I existed as incarnation of Rama, these sages came to Me in the forest and prayed Me for the test in spouse-bond. They did not ask Me to become female since they don’t have the demonic nature to become the husband of God. They prayed that they will become females and hug Me as wives to show that they have defeated their spouse-bonds before the love to God.]
[I know the present, past and future. Therefore, I am giving the examples from the future. These examples will be well known to the souls in Kali Yuga and therefore, they can easily understand and appreciate them. You please note this point.]
[When My age of this life finishes 125 years, I will end My present human incarnation in 126th year of My age. As soon as I quit this earth, the Kali age also enters.]
[Neither the illusory Krishnas nor the illusory Gopikas (Gopikas are also illusory because the entire creation containing inert items and non-inert souls is illusory and Gopikas or sages are also part of the creation.) did sin through mind or feelings, body or actions and words or mouth-sense. The touch between them is cultured by the hidden love that exists between brothers and sisters.]
[Such sin that is going to take place in Kali age will not happen now in this Dvāpara age. I will not create My duplicate forms in Kali age. Even if I create duplicate forms once for a short period, I will withdraw My power as early as possible.]
[I may use My power of creating duplicate forms once in Kali age in order to see whether the souls can progress in the spiritual line because the souls ask about their freedom to answer the easiest question first (spouse-bond test) and then, answer the hard question (joint test of children and wealth). The souls of Kali age will prove that My expectation is wrong by not at all progressing in the spiritual path even after conducting the first spouse-bond test as desired by them and hence, I will withdraw this power of creating My duplicate forms from the field of sweet devotion thereafter.]
[In the Kali age, in the spiritual asylums, all the souls become spoiled since they possess climax lust and fascination. In such case, there is no need for creating My duplicate forms since the devotees are not like Gopikas, who are sages reborn. Instead of My duplicate forms, the sinful human beings are sufficiently present everywhere, who are available in the place of My duplicate forms. In Kali age, you will not find anywhere any soul with full purity.]
[They will be punished in the hell for their sins due to the inevitable wheel of deeds and fruits. Even after doing sin, if anybody realizes the sin done, repents before God and does not repeat the sin in his/her entire future life period, such soul will become reformed pure soul. If such reformed soul surrenders to God with climax devotion, the soul will attain salvation from all these temporary and illusory worldly bonds by the grace of God to attain the eternal bond of true love with God.]
Śrī Rādhā Devī uvāca:-
[Shri Radha Devi spoke:-]
[Some say that detachment from spouse-bond means leaving the spouse-bond and treating God as spouse. They say that it is just like leaving the bond with children and treating God as the child. If this is the correct meaning for detachment from any worldly bond and attachment to bond with God, how can the male souls be justified without having similar spouse-bond with God in female form? They say that then only, the soul can be treated as equal in both genders?]
[The male sages got detached from their spouse-bonds and came to You, when You were as the incarnation of Rama and prayed You to hug You in female forms, which can be attained by them by their penance power. All other male souls have no such penance power to become females to hug You as Your wives. The male souls can be attracted to the female form of God just like the female souls get attracted by the male form of God.]
Śrī Kṛṣṇa Bhagavān uvāca:-
[God Shri Krishna spoke:-]
[Oh! My most beloved Radha Devi! Don’t you know the answer for this question? Your face is decorated by a mild smile. You know the entire spiritual knowledge. You have put this question just for the sake of this world.]
[The spouse-bond test is always conducted in the final birth of a soul. In the previous births, the joint bond with children and wealth is conducted. Unless this joint bond test is completed with success, the spouse-bond test is not conducted. The sages approached Me for the spouse-bond test without attending the joint test of child and wealth.]
[They thought that the joint test is the weakest and the spouse-bond test is the strongest. Hence, they thought that they can easily pass the joint test of child and wealth and they thought that they have to struggle to pass the spouse-bond test alone. In fact, they learnt in this birth of Gopikas that the fact is reverse. In the joint test, all failed by complaining to My mother when I stole the butter preserved by them for their children. All have passed the spouse-bond test by coming to dance with Me.]
[That was the reason for My refusal towards their prayer in My previous birth. If the spouse-bond test was conducted in the beginning without conducting the joint bond test, such a soul will be stamped as prostitute since the spouse-bond is the weakest since you find the facility of divorce and remarriage in that bond only.]
[This final birth has only one test, which is the test of spouse-bond. The final birth of any soul shall be the birth of a female only. The reason is that the soul can never leave the masculine ego in the male birth. The soul in female birth lacks this masculine ego and hence, a separate test for masculine ego cannot be conducted for the soul in the male birth since the soul can never leave masculine ego in male birth. If the soul is born as female in the final birth, this masculine ego will not stand as permanent obstacle to give the certificate of total salvation after passing the spouse-bond test. Hence, your question will not create any problem in conducting the tests for the three strongest bonds called ‘Eṣaṇātrayam’. Therefore, the final birth to get salvation from all the worldly bonds must be the female birth only.]
[Since the final birth is always the female birth only, I, as Rama, refused to conduct spouse-bond test while the soul remains in the male body. I told the sages to be born as females in the next birth so that by conducting the spouse-bond test, I can immediately give the total salvation because the unavoidable masculine ego of the male body will not come as an obstacle to stop the presentation of certificate of total salvation to them.]
[Some atheistic persons, who are always interested in blaming God may say that I have cleverly made the final birth of a soul as the female birth only so that I can participate in romance with My female devotees. Such persons commenting Me in this way are proving that they are talking with jealousy only because I am not at all participating in the romance since the created human beings having My form are only participating in such romance. In fact, the sages through their power of penance very well know that I have created My duplicate forms only and hence, the sages as Gopikas are dancing with them treating them as their brothers!]
[I have neither participated in the romance nor arranged the romance because romance did not take place at all. Hence, there is no direct or indirect sin for Me. Without knowing this background secret, some religions other than Hinduism, start blaming Me so that the followers of Hinduism will leave their religion and join these opposing religions. In view of the future unfortunate situation, I am clarifying the background of this raasa-dance.]
[Several items existing on a big table explains the relationship of supporter and supported entities. Here, the table is Bhartā or husband, which means that it maintains the items that is the bearer. The borne items are Bhāryās or wives. How can any item existing on the table become the supporter of that big table? Hence, such reverse possibility is ruled out.]
[If a male devotee wants to worship God in female form, the male devotee must maintain the same above-mentioned relationship of God as the supporter and the devotee as the supported item. This is possible when God in female form is taken as the Goddess Mother and treat himself as her son. Mother can be the supporter and her male child can be the supported item. In Kali age, devotees like Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa worshipped the female form of God as the Divine Mother following the above-mentioned relationship of maintainer and maintained.]
