ŚRĪ KALKYAVATĀRĀṢṬAKAM
श्रीकल्क्यवताराष्टकम्
[Eight Verses on the Kalki Incarnation of God Vishnu]
ॐ नमो नारायणाय । ॐ नमो विष्णवे ।
Oṃ Namo Nārāyaṇāya । Oṃ Namo Viṣṇave ।
[Salutations to God Narayana, Who is God Vishnu]
जगत्पापकूपं विलोक्यान्यमार्गं, न पश्यन्तमन्ता त्समन्ता च्चरन्तम् ।
करे वैद्युतं खड्गमाधाय साश्वं, भजे नाथ नारायणं कल्किरूपम् ॥1॥
Jagatpāpakūpaṃ vilokyānyamārgaṃ,
Na paśyantamantā tsamantā ccarantam ।
Kare vaidyutaṃ khaḍgamādhāya sāśvaṃ,
Bhaje Nātha Nārāyaṇaṃ Kalkirūpam ॥1॥
[After seeing this world as a well filled with sins, finding no other solution like peaceful preaching except complete destruction, You started moving everywhere on the earth by riding on a divine white horse, taking the weapon of nuclear energy-like sword in Your hand. I worship such Lord Narayana, who is in the form of God Kalki.]
परो नास्ति नास्तीति विश्वासवादान्, जना न्केवलं भौतिकाधारभोगान् ।
सकृ त्संहरन्तं निजासिप्रहारै, र्भजे नाथ नारायणं कल्किरूपम् ॥2॥
Paro nāsti nāstīti viśvāsavādān,
Janā nkevalaṃ bhautikādhārabhogān ।
Sakṛ tsaṃharantaṃ nijāsiprahārai,
Bhaje Nātha Nārāyaṇaṃ Kalkirūpam ॥2॥
[In that time, many people become atheists shouting with strong faith that there is no God and no God at all. They become very much fascinated to the worldly pleasures. You will be killing such people with the strokes of Your electrical sword with very tremendous speed. I worship such Lord Narayana, who is in the form of God Kalki.]
नटत्तुङ्गरङ्गत्तुरङ्गोरुपातैः, क्षणादेव सर्वत्र चा विर्भवन्तम् ।
खला न्दैवनिन्दापरा न्मारयन्तं, भजे नाथ नारायणं कल्किरूपम् ॥3॥
Naṭattuṅgaraṅgatturaṅgorupātaiḥ,
Kṣaṇādeva sarvatra cā virbhavantam ।
Khalā ndaivanindāparā nmārayantaṃ,
Bhaje Nātha Nārāyaṇaṃ Kalkirūpam ॥3॥
[The white horse on which You ride will be taking sudden jumps with miraculous power, reaching any place in a fraction of second. In very quick time, You will be killing a lot of atheists scolding God. I worship such Lord Narayana, who is in the form of God Kalki.]
जगत्तातपादं दयावार्धि मेव, वृधा निन्दतो दूषणै र्नास्तिकांश्च ।
सहस्राङ्ग खण्ड प्लुता न्खण्डयन्तं, भजे नाथ नारायणं कल्किरूपम् ॥4॥
Jagattātapādaṃ dayāvārdhi meva,
Vṛdhā nindato dūṣaṇai rnāstikāṃśca ।
Sahasrāṅga khaṇḍa plutā nkhaṇḍayantaṃ,
Bhaje Nātha Nārāyaṇaṃ Kalkirūpam ॥4॥
[Unnecessarily without any reason, the atheists will be scolding the Father of this creation, who is the ocean of kindness. You will be cutting them with Your divine sword so that each fellow will be flying in space after being cut into 1000 pieces. I worship such Lord Narayana, who is in the form of God Kalki.]
अहिंसा मितः पूर्व मेवोक्तवन्तं, दयाभाषणै रप्यहन्तातिरेकान् ।
स्वकीया न्सुता नेव निघ्नन्त मुर्व्यां, भजे नाथ नारायणं कल्किरूपम् ॥5॥
Ahiṃsā mitaḥ pūrva mevoktavantaṃ,
Dayābhāṣaṇai rapyahantātirekān ।
Svakīyā nsutā neva nighnanta murvyāṃ,
Bhaje Nātha Nārāyaṇaṃ Kalkirūpam ॥5॥
[Just in the previous incarnation as God Buddha, You were completely confined to the path of non-violence only. In that previous incarnation, You were preaching even the most egoistic, wild people with very merciful messages. But, in the future time, You will be killing Your own issues on the earth without a trace of kindness on them. I worship such Lord Narayana, who is in the form of God Kalki.]
अनेकैश्च साधूत्तमै र्दत्ततत्त्वं, तथाऽप्यास्तिकत्वातिदूरा न्मनुष्यान् ।
क्षमापारमुत्तीर्य कोपाग्निनात्तं, भजे नाथ नारायणं कल्किरूपम् ॥6॥
Anekaiśca sādhūttamai rdattatattvaṃ,
Tathā'pyāstikatvātidūrā nmanuṣyān ।
Kṣamāpāramuttīrya kopāgnināttaṃ,
Bhaje Nātha Nārāyaṇaṃ Kalkirūpam ॥6॥
[Previously, You were preaching divine spiritual knowledge to humanity not only directly, but also by sending several saints. Even then, people have gone very far from God (People have become terrible sinners by following injustice due to lack of both fear and faith in God.). Due to this reason, You will cross the boundary of patience and love to arrive on the earth with anger-fire burning inside. I worship such Lord Narayana, who is in the form of God Kalki.]
न मे नाथ शक्तिः परं सोढु मित्थं, ब्रुवन्तीं समाश्वास्य भूमातृदेवीम् ।
स्वयं तातपादं समेतं सरोषं, भजे नाथ नारायणं कल्किरूपम् ॥7॥
Na me nātha śaktiḥ paraṃ soḍhu mitthaṃ,
Bruvantīṃ samāśvāsya bhūmātṛdevīm ।
Svayaṃ tātapādaṃ sametaṃ saroṣaṃ,
Bhaje Nātha Nārāyaṇaṃ Kalkirūpam ॥7॥
[In future, the deity of earth will pray You “O Lord! I have no energy and patience to tolerate these atheistic human beings”. Then, You, our Divine Father, will console our Divine Mother, Goddess Earth and arrive on the Earth with lot of anger. I worship such Lord Narayana, who is in the form of God Kalki.]
अविद्या ऽऽशया न्मय्यपि द्रा क्तथैव, स्वविज्ञानखड्गेन निर्मूलयन्तम् ।
मन स्सैन्धवस्थं मदेकैक दैवं, भजे नाथ नारायणं कल्किरूपम् ॥8॥
Avidyā 'śayā nmayyapi drā ktathaiva,
Svavijñānakhaḍgena nirmūlayantam ।
Mana ssaindhavasthaṃ madekaika daivaṃ,
Bhaje nātha nārāyaṇaṃ kalkirūpam ॥8॥
[In the above said similar way, You will also destroy the atheistic and egoistic feelings in Me by travelling to Me immediately with Your sword-like spiritual knowledge, riding My mind as Your divine horse. You are My one and only God. I worship such Lord Narayana, who is in the form of God Kalki.]
इदं कल्क्यवतारस्य, काश्यपेन कृतं पठन् ।
अष्टकं दैवविश्वासी, वर्धते सर्वसौख्यवान् ॥
Idaṃ kalkyavatārasya, Kāśyapena kṛtaṃ paṭhan ।
Aṣṭakaṃ daivaviśvāsī, Vardhate sarvasaukhyavān ॥
[This prayer on God Kalki, who is the incarnation of God Vishnu, is written by Shri Datta Swami, who is born in Kashyapa gotra. The devotee by reading this prayer will develop faith in God and will grow in this world with all types of happiness.]
