Tvaṃ ca bhāgavate cā 'haṃ, Śivo Viṣṇuś ca saṅgatau।

14) Tejasāṃ dhātvabhāvena, na śukraṃ jāyate kvacit।
Amarāṇāṃ sthirā saṅkhyā, na kāmo na rasāyanāt॥
[Since the materialized tissue (dhātu) is absent in the energetic bodies of the energetic beings (angels) staying in the upper energetic worlds, nowhere is the reproductive tissue (śukram) generated from the other non-existent six tissues. Hence, the total number of the angels (33 crores) remains constant since there is no death due to the divine nectar drunk by them. In the energetic bodies, lust will not exist due to the absence materialized hormones and hence, there is no generation of children.]

Raktasya kaṇa koṭibhyaḥ, retas tat puṃsi saṃyamaḥ॥
[When the sperm of male fertilizes the ovum of female, the fertilized egg results. Here, only one cell is lost in the case of females. The sperms are generated from the nutrients and oxygen supplied by the blood to the reproductive tissues (śukram). Hence, whenever the sperms are released, loss of blood (nutrients and oxygen present in the blood) is very much in the rest of the body in the case of males.
